From December 15th, guppy will become a real and useful mobility alternative in Cantabria.
Thus, Santander will join the list of cities that have car sharing services.
The initial fleet is made up of 50 vehicles, 100% electric, equipped with the latest technology and driving assistance. Our cars are zero emissions, so they are designed to promote cleaner, more sustainable and agile driving in cities.
Thanks to this expansion of the service, guppy users will be able to make trips between the two provinces. For example, renting one of our electric cars in Gijon and ending the journey in Santander.
In addition, our carsharing service is prepared so that companies can use it and can enjoy a lot of advantages: savings in costs and time, greater control over travel and expenses, commitment to the environment...
Guppy functionalities
In order to offer the best user experience, our app has the following extras:
Free balance. Invite your friends to join guppy, and enjoy the guppy advantages first hand. A simple gesture that comes with a gift, since it will allow you to get 3 euros of free credit for each user you bring to guppy.
You will receive the balance in your account once your guest makes its first trip with us. And each guest will get another 3 euros. It's that easy!
Calculate your trip. Our app includes a calculator so you don't go crazy doing math.
Share your trip. Are you sharing the ride? then you can pay half the rent (up to a maximum of 5).
Promotional codes. We have included a box so you can enter your promotional codes directly and enjoy your rewards easily.
Night stand-by. You can leave your guppy on standby between 00:00 and 6:00 in the morning totally free, as long as you use it the next day for a journey worth at least 20 euros.
If you meet this condition, you will not be charged or discounted the cost corresponding to the night standby.
How does guppy work?
If this is the first time you've heard of guppy, don't worry!
Open the app, look for the closest available electric vehicle and book the one that best suits your needs.
To unlock the doors, you have to select in the app 'Start the rental' and slide the digital key. This will be your key to both open and close the car.
Feel free to drive and stop wherever you want, but you always have to end the rental within the guppy area or at a guppy point, with the advantage that you will not have to waste time looking for parking or pay to park.
As for the guppy points, they are strategically distributed throughout Asturias and Cantabria so that you can easily move around any city and you will easily recognize them by their green color.

The guppy app new version comes plenty of new features to improve service, increase experience and even how to get free balance!
These are our main new functions:
•Credit in euros: we like to keep it simple, so from now on we will stop valuing the service in kilometres and minutes, and we will always speak in the same unit: your consumption, your balance, your savings and your deals will be in euros.
•Get free balance: we have incorporated a simple function for you to invite friends and get a balance for each new user you bring to guppy.
•Calculate your trip: want to know how much your trip will cost? Don't go crazy doing numbers, this new version includes a calculator that will do it for you.
•Promo codes: we know you love participating in our contests and promos. To simplify processes, we have included a box where you can enter your codes directly. Get your rewards faster and easier.
•Share your trip: Are you accompanied? Share the expenses. If you want, now you can share the trip, up to 5 people. Share the expenses and you all would drive with no problem.
•Night stand-by: save even more with this new service. The stand-by spent during the night could be free of charge depending on the trip.
