Introducing Programs, an even better way to train foundational skills in Harper.

Harper has 30+ training courses. Some are short and focused. Others are larger and take longer to complete. For the most important training needs—like puppy stuff, leash walking, or all-around training help—we've redesigned how they're organized, so now you can go start to finish in one expertly sequenced program.

Sign in with Apple

New Harper members with iOS 13 can now use Sign in with Apple to create their accounts. That means you can set up an account and sign in with your Apple ID. Just tap Sign in with Apple, review your information, and sign in quickly and securely with Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode. You can still sign up by SMS if you'd like.

For existing Harper members, or those who haven't upgraded to iOS 13, you can still sign in by SMS as usual. If you'd like to switch your accounts from SMS to Sign in with Apple though, just send us a note. We'll happily help you get that taken care of.

It's always been too difficult to share training content from Harper. "Go to Discover, and the third course in the second section has just the game you and your pup should play." Woof.

Fortunately, now sharing is effortless. Tap the share button on any course, game, or article to send it to your fellow dog parents. It doesn't matter whether they're a member or are new to Harper. They'll be able to check it out with their pup right away.

Bug Fixes & Polish
• Fixed: The app was getting pretty slow to load there for a while, so we did some stuff so that now it starts right up.
• Fixed: Sometimes the text on game slides was getting cut off on smaller phones. No bueno. We got that taken care of too.

Keeping track of your dog training progress is super important for building a habit that gets results.

Not everything you do with your dogs though is perfectly aligned with a game in Harper. That's why, now, when you log a session, you can search and select a general dog training skill. These are the fundamental abilities that our games and courses have been designed to strengthen, so it's just as important to keep track of your progress there.

Since we've been using this ourselves, it's really increased how often we log our own sessions. That's been great news for our training habits and our progress with our pups.

Keeping track of training and progress is super important for any habit, but especially dog training. Now, when you log a session, you can search for any game in the Harper library. It's a lot more flexible. And because of it, we found ourselves logging our sessions even more often. That's good news for your training habit and great news for your pup.

Keeping track of training and progress is super important for any habit, but especially dog training. Now there's a big yellow button which makes it quick to log any training session. It's the easiest way to keep a training journal. And a training journal is the best way to improve together fast.

Other Fixes & Polish
• Fixed: We added some visual polish in a few spots to make navigating the app more clear
• Fixed: The times shown for sessions in your Moments feed were wrong. Unfortunately, someone wasn't secretly training your dog for you. They were just displayed in the wrong time zone.

"It's only at the first encounter that a face makes its full impression on us." Old Schopenhauer got us thinking we ought to redesign the introduction. Now, on first use, Harper listens to you about your dog training goals and challenges. It recommends a course designed for what your pup needs. And with it, we can take a more auspicious first step together towards an awesome relationship with our dogs.

Bug Fixes & Polish
• Fixed: Sometimes the "Continue" button wouldn't be visible, such as when signing in.
• Fixed: Some extra vertical space above articles that went away if you tried to scroll it.
• Fixed: While loading article content, it could take a few seconds, and there was no "waiting" indicator. Now there is.
• Fixed: During the introduction, if you decided not to enable notifications, we will now give you a button that will open Settings if you changed your mind and want notifications enabled.
• Improved accessibility, making it even easier to use Harper if you don't have perfect eyesight.
