We've made some improvements to the process for adding new pads in the app. We realised that if we want our community to contribute to Helipaddy, we need to make it as easy as possible to do so! In this version you'll see:

In light of the above, you'll notice:
- Less scrolling, and clearer labelled fields
- Improved clarity and range of facilities/warnings for pads
- (our favourite) the ability to save a part-entered pad as a draft, which you can pick back up on later!
- Offline pad additions are now supported

Other fixes:
- 'My Pads' quick filter now works as intended
- Thumbnail images should be shown for all pads with photos
- Improved bluetooth keyboard support for iPad
- Work on consistency of UI elements i.e. buttons on iPad
- Paste/Keychain support for passwords
- Issues with filters hiding/showing are now fixed

This release is mainly focussed on getting as many new Pilots as possible into the community, by improving the 'onboarding' experience. We've removed a few steps and simplified others in an effort to remove friction from new sign ups!

If you already use Helipaddy, there are a few other little changes and fixes:
- Added a filter for 'My Pads' which shows your favourited and submitted pads
- Added a filter for 'My Reviewed' which shows all pads that you've rated and/or reviewed
- Fixed a situation where duplicated pads lose their submitters
- Fixed a bug where the app badge showed more notifications that you have in the app
- Implemented a solution for when the keyboard covers text fields

Cold, yes. Sunny, also yes. As we're (gradually) getting closer to more consistent flying weather, this build brings a wealth of smaller changes. You may not notice most of them, but we hope they'll either put a smile on your faces, or make your life just a few percent better, possibly unbeknownst to you.

Adjustments
- Notification centre now shows the pad image if we have it
- You may now leave ratings and reviews to your Private Pads
- Private Pads can now be added by tapping and holding the screen
- Aerodromes are now included within the default filter selection
- Reworded the ‘+ New Pad’ button
- Small adjustments to wording throughout the app

Improvements
- Improved zoom levels when searching for a Town, City or Post Code
- Improvements to the Pad View interface
- Improved our Google Places API integration, which should have removed all of the irrelevant pad photo suggestions
- Improvements to card view on iPad, showing the selected pad more clearly
- Aggressively seeking new pads in the US, currently focusing on CA, TX and FL

Bugs
- Bug fixed when attaching an image via our Support chat
- Fixed a bug where the Helipaddy app badge was showing more notifications than a user had

Happy New Year to all! We're bringing you a smaller release just to get the year moving, but believe we've got a lot going on in the background to bring a bunch of new features to you guys and gals this year!

Fly Here
- We've improved our 'Fly Here' button which allows you to send a Pad/Waypoint directly to your navigation app.
- The 'Fly Here' button that you'll see on any Pad View now shows your choice of navigation app (picked from Settings).

Announcements
- We've released a lot of new features, many of which it seems are not fully understood, so we've put together Announcements. Designed to explain new features and keep you up-to-date within the app, we hope this will guide you into making the most of Helipaddy!

Search
- We've removed some annoying messaging and limitations within Search for our free users.

Hey Pilots - it's been a while! We’ve had our heads down, working on a few bigger features for you all to enjoy.

Filters never looked so good!
- We've made HUGE improvements to how the filtering of pads works, and we think we've really nailed it this time.
- Advanced filter criteria now helps you to cut right to the creme de la creme, for example, Top Rated, Owner Approved, Most Comments etc. We're really chuffed with this, and hope you will be, too!

Letting you know!
- Notifications: We’ve added the notification centre, which we’ll use to keep you up-to-date and engaged.
- Silent Updates: Any changes made to pads will be reflected instantly in the app - no refreshing required

Then, of course, lots of little fixes, adjustments and bugs…

Hi all! This is a fairly small release, but we do have one new feature that we're super excited about...

- You can now share any location from Google Maps into Helipaddy - very cool! It's now easier than ever to share locations from, and into, Helipaddy!
- We've made some improvements to our Google Places integration which suggests appropriate images for new pads, in the quest to have as much strong content at pads for you as possible.
- There've been a few small adjustments to all Pads under the category of APOI

As our first major release since launching, we've had a busy month crushing bugs, managing Covid breakouts in the office and working on new features for you - some you'll see, others you won't even notice, but we're really happy to bring the following to version 5.1:

Features
- Pre-defined reporting criteria - ensuring it's as easy as possible to let us know about a problem with a pad i.e. that pad has a bad contact number, or you can't actually land there
- Lots of improvements and fixes to the Add Pad flow, and Private Pads in general
- We've now excluded your Favourites, Private and Recommended Pads from pin clusters on the map, so that you can always see the pads most important to you, no matter how zoomed out you are

Bugs
- Logout button was hidden on smaller devices - sorted
- Favourites couldn't be unfiltered - fixed
- Onboarding validation errors - done
- A few problems when signing in via Apple ID - say no more

We’ve streamlined the whole app - making it more user friendly - and have added a host of kick-ass new features to enhance your experience. We’ve focussed on what we do best: Pre. Flight. Planning. • Direct share to more navigation apps - you can now send helipad coordinates directly to your navigation apps - SkyDemon, Runway HD, Foreflight and Garmin Pilot.
• Request PPR more easily – It’s now faster and easier to get in touch with site owners and book your helicopter landing instantly.
• Filter your search for better results – Our new filtered search options mean you can find your ideal destination faster. With simplified pad categories, we’ve made it easier to select the type of heli landing site you’re looking for.
• Locate nearest fuel stations - Need to find fuel within 50nm? The new radius overlay enables you to search for the nearest fuel stations within a few taps, taking the stress out of your flight.
• Read enhanced reviews – Pilots can now share photos and leave detailed reviews about all their favourite – and not so favourite – helicopter landing sites, so you’ll have more information about your planned destinations.
• Check Landing advice - Formerly known as Site Operator’s Notes. Landing advice is back with a bang.
• See more photos - We have multiplied the number of helipad photos for our locations, sourcing photos from owners, our pilot community and Google as well as those taken by our in-house team.
• Add custom helipads - Adding new sites has never been easier. Whether you want to share a new site with the community (yes please), or save your personal (private) collection, our updated app makes it easy to add custom landing sites.
It’s our pilots that make Helipaddy so great. Every time you share photos, reviews and new destinations, you enrich the experience for the whole Helipaddy community.

In this build, we’ve massively improved the process for adding new pads so that you, our community, can quickly and easily contribute and share your knowledge with other pilots! Our vision is for Helipaddy to span the globe, but we’ll need your help to achieve that!

- You’ll see a new + button at the bottom of the map, which, you guessed it, adds a new pad! We've vastly improved the process, and removed a few of steps, too.
- If you’re up in the air, we don’t recommend typing too much detail, so hitting the back button will save the pin for you to update later - you’ll find it in the ‘pad queue’ in the main menu.
- You can now quickly update the visibility of any of the pads you’ve added, toggling between private/friends/public.

Also:
- You'll notice that the satellite view on the map is fully labeled, making it easier to identify where you are, and where you’ll be going! Finally…

Our Q1 update has been based around improving current features.

Events
- Arguably not the best timing, but we've fixed a bug which wouldn't allow you to add events directly to your calendar.

Landings
- PPR requests will now be referred to as Landing Requests, or LRs, because there is never enough acronyms.
- The LR form, which is visible to our Premium Pilots only ;) has a few tweaks - we want to save you time here. Our testing shows that it's 20% faster than before!
- As a part of the previous point, you can now set your main helicopter's information in your account settings, so you don't have to enter this each time you request a landing!

Stay mobile everybody, but please stay healthy first!
