About HMO – A NEW ERA

A workshop for healthcare professionals conceived by the Infant Nutrition franchise at Nestlé Middle East and assembled with the core ambition to launch Human Milk Oligosaccharides in this region.

Human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs) are diverse, biologically active components in breast milk that beneficially modulate the infant microbiota as well as gut, immune, and potentially neurological development. It is now possible to produce large quantities of HMOs enabling supplementation to infant formula, with the goal of supporting the gut microbiota composition.

This workshop promises to bring together international and regional experts and researchers in the field of infant nutrition to share the latest evidence-based updates and discuss future goals in infant nutrition.
