Some app updates aren't that important. This isn't one of them. It's REALLY important that you update the app to this release - or Hopster will stop working.
Why? This might sound a bit boring (to you, not our technical team who've worked really hard to make this happen) - but we've updated the Hopster video player.
What does this mean? Well, you won't actually notice any difference if you update the app. Hopster's shows, songs, and books will keep your little one enthralled as before.
BUT, if you don't update the app - the Hopster you know and love WILL STOP WORKING from April onwards.
And another thing - from now on Hopster only supports devices on iOS 9 or higher.

You’ll love this update if you’re travelling with your little ones this summer. Downloads, a feature we introduced well over two years ago, just got a refresh it very much deserved.
- Downloads will now stay on your device for 14 days instead of 7 days
- You can now download episodes directly from the Volcano which means we’ll be saying goodbye to the Treasure Chest in the coming months
- Your little one will more clearly see what’s available and what’s not while they aren’t connected to the internet. We know some parents will be very excited about this one.
- The experience is just a whole lot better. This has been a big project based on a lot of user feedback (thanks!)
- All shows and episodes will now be available for download.
PS: when downloading shows, we recommend to be connect to wifi as it will otherwise consume your mobile data usage allowance.

You may have noticed that we've launched a new theme this month. May was all about space, and Elon's cherry red space Tesla. This month we've got two themes depending on where in the world you are. We've got Under The Sea which is all about the sea and it's fun under water animals. The second theme is all about Music with a great selection of music based shows.

Now that spring has finally arrived here in London (our HQ), we’re doing a bit of spring cleaning. If you’re still running Hopster on iOS 8 we’ve got a some sad news. As we continue to update the best entertainment and learning app for kids we’re going to have to stop optimising Hopster for iOS 8 devices.
Dropping iOS 8 - what does this mean for you?
- For now the app should continue to work as is, but you won't get any pretty new updates.
- You will continue to get new episodes and shows as they get added to the library.
- But as time goes by, you will start to run into issues. Mostly around our video player as it’s about do go through an update for improved performance.
- Best thing to do is update your device if you can. iOS 11 is the latest version, but we’ll support iOS 9 and up.
