About Tharamba-ndu Towera

A traditional story from the Gunnai/Kurani people, the Traditional Owners of the Gippsland area in east Victoria, Australia. This story tells of how fire was made.

Narrated by: Hollie Johnson

Story retold and translations by: Lynnette Solomon-Dent & Dr Doris Paton

With guidance from Doris Paton, Hollie’s telling of this story in language, together with illustrations by her grandmother, will help to revitalize the Gunnai/Kurnai language of Gippsland.
