With this update, the Reveal feature will be removed from the HP Sprocket app. You will no longer be able to scan printed photos to see related content or scan the top of your device, if you have an HP Sprocket 200, HP Sprocket Studio, or HP Sprocket Select. This change lets us focus on other meaningful additions to the app in the future. We also fixed a few known experience issues.

It is that time of year to be thankful. We are thankful for all our passionate users. Helping enable the prints of such great memories and adventures. Thank you. For this release, we have chased away a lot of gremlins by tricking them into eating turkey, falling deep asleep from the tryptophan, and then we quietly move them to greener pastures. We have a fantastic new feature in partnership with our friends from Google Photos! Now you can choose to start a shared event, invite friends to contribute, and everything you and your friends print will be stored to Google Photos for all to access after the event. If you don’t want to print each item to be stored, you can also save directly to Google Photos. This will be great around the Thanksgiving table. We hope you give a whirl while all your friends and family gather. We have also polished up the app in the gallery and the preview. It is easier and friendlier to use. We have worked hard on it and we hope you will like it. Print some great photos of the family and pass the potatoes!

Happy 4th in the States. We hope that you had yourself a hot dog, a root beer, and some apple pie. Did you get epic pictures of your celebrations with friends and families? We got some rad videos that we printed with our Relive Memories feature. Many oohs and aahs happened from our prints EVEN AFTER THE FIREWORKS! This update is prepping for some magical awesome in the fall time frame while ensuring we keep the gremlins at bay in the app. Some of the sneaky gremlins got themselves some sparklers causing some minor celebratory havoc.

Already making preparations for the 4th of July? Hopefully, you’re launching off Sprocket prints like fireworks in your backyard! As usual, we have your celebration covered with amazing stickers and frames to compliment your BBQ or block party. Stickers and frames now download automatically in the background, so ensure a reliable wireless connection and you’ll be handsomely rewarded :)
We have some delightful gremlin-crushing in this release, along with the continued awesome you’ve come to expect from #teamsprocket.
If you haven’t already, give the new Wizard Wand a swing in the Edit menu. We promise it’s better than a 4th of July sparkler! You’ll see quality improvements magically applied to your image before hitting Print.
Finally, don’t leave your Sprocket hanging – show it some love with a firmware update. If you’re having any trouble connecting, please follow these steps and live the #sprocketdream:
1. Charge your sprocket at least 50%, then power off your printer.
2. In the iPhone Bluetooth menu (Settings -> Bluetooth), tap the ‘i’ icon next to the “sprocket” device name, then tap “Forget This Device”.

You know what we did for Father’s Day? Instead of a tie, we gave the old man a sprocket print of the whole family, complete with special dad stickers! When he saw it, his eyes started watering…he claimed the room was suddenly dusty. We know the real reason. NAILED IT!

We are working away on new cool stuff and eliminating gremlins in the code (improved share extension, performance, and crashes). So, we have heard from some of you that you don’t like the “widescreen” version of the app but instead need a glorious 16x9 TV. NO BLACK BARS. Well fear no longer. We are now TEN times more compliant on a phone that has an X at the end. Cleaned up some of the stickers and frames as a base install. More will come from the MAGIC of the internet as soon as you open the app. Some of our friendlier gremlins came back from spring break with some bad habits. So, we either had to remove them or clean up their attitude. PS – Mother’s Day is coming up. Make sure you get a rad picture of your mom, so you can print it out for Mother’s Day.

We also have a new Help & How To topic to help you get the best prints. Take a gander to milk all the power out of your sprocket prints! Here is the big one…we have made the Print Queue awesome and entirely non-sucky. You can now see every print and when it is coming up in the line.
