Smart watches may contribute heart rate data, and many applications deposit information about your diet, sleep, meditation habits and exercise.

ibdConnect integrates with Apple HealthKit to collect this data and—combined with information you provide about your experience with IBD—sends it to researchers who are developing cutting edge IBD tools and treatments.
