Powered by the data source-agnostic DriveSync® platform, the IMS UBI mobile telematics app is one of the many supported data collection options that makes collecting driving data quick and easy - anytime, anywhere. The IMS UBI app allows drivers to assess and improve their driving performance by actively highlighting risky driving behaviors including distracted driving, hard acceleration, hard braking, aggressive cornering and exceeding the posted speed limit. In addition, the app provides coaching tips along with score trends and statistics that enable users to understand driving behavior improvements over time. For some added fun, the opt-in leaderboard encourages safer driving by adding some friendly competition to the mix. New, personal leaderboards take competition one step further, enabling drivers to compete directly with their friends and family members to see who is the safest driver over time. And, with new social media sharing capabilities, users can post and share their driving improvements on popular social networks.
Further refinement of automatic trip detection accurately records trips, including starts and stops - and never interrupts the driver’s journey. Users will also find a setting that allows them to upload driving data over Wi-Fi-only - making it one of the most effortless and cost-efficient methods to save on smartphone data usage.
