Welcome back to the stand the Today Widget (Not a home-screen iOS 14 widget)
After much work on iOS 14 we have fixed the old iOS Today Style Widget and have brought small tweaks and improvements. Now that we have reached this milestone in our iOS 14 set of focused releases look forward to more updates in the near future.
Exporting Notes:
You can now export single notes and audio notes! (Multi-export will be coming in the months to come)
Support notifications:
We have revamped our support in order to allow us to help our customers faster than before and now support messages will show you a notification even when you are not within the app.

Due to upcoming changes in iOS, this will be the last version of Informant that can run on iOS 12. All of our future updates will require iOS 13 or newer. Unfortunately iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and the sixth-generation iPod Touch do not support iOS 13 and higher. Those devices will not be able to update.
This release is to inform you of that information as well as provide a fix for a sync issue with automatic theme.

It was time for some spring cleaning! We tidied things up and took care of some minor bugs relating to dark mode, alarms, the Natural Language Processing feature, and triggers. For more details, see the specifics below.

Fixed ability to toggle NLP (Natural Language Parsing) on and off. This is done with a new gesture. Open a blank task or event editor and double tap the title field to toggle the feature on or off.
Fixed the Delete Completed button in the completed tasks grouping of main task view.
Fixed Pocket Informant can now be selected when the iOS Share Sheet comes up.
Fixed Siri Shortcut for events, a new event was not being assigned to any calendar, now it will be assigned to the default calendar.

Informant 5.50 Has Arrived!!
The following items are fixed!
Some iOS 13 users experienced stalling or crashing of the application when opening it
All users of devices without a home button on iOS 13 could not use the application search function
Some users were still getting “title too long” error messages
The following items are new or updated!
Removed the manual time zone setting in the Pocket Informant settings. This was an old setting from the 1.x Pocket Informant that was no longer necessary with the Travel Assist feature being available. The application will use the devices time zone as its timezone. All other in app time zone functions remain unchanged.
The support case framework was updated. Our support vendor introduced new API’s to make the support cases more reliable and they have been fully implemented.
New devices no longer support 3d Touch so for those devices we added Haptic Touch and updated the “Tap-Hold” function for non Haptic devices to work better. This functionality is also available on the iPad for the first time!!
We have revised shortcuts to add more functionality including adding items such as titles and dates for both events and tasks.
On devices without a home button the search/weather screen has been updated for iOS 13. To clear the screen swipe the view down from the top.
We included other minor fixes and reliability improvements as well.
This is our first iOS 13 update more fixes of iOS 13 related concerns will be coming soon, stay tuned!!!

Pocket Informant 5.49 has arrived!!!
This release contains a major new feature the addition of Siri Shortcuts!! We will detail this feature below, please read all of the release notes to understand the shortcuts.
This will be the final release of Pocket Informant for iOS 11 as we turn our development efforts towards the upcoming iOS 13 and its new features.
The following Siri shortcuts are supported-
Add event
Let’s Write Something (add a note)
Add task
Add checklist
Show me my calendar (Shows the month view)
Show me my tasks (Shows Main Task View)
Show me today (shows Focus View)
Remember when using Siri Shortcuts that you have to do the function in the application before Siri will be able to add it as a shortcut in iOS 12 for iOS 13 you still have to do the function first in the application then go to the built in Shortcuts application to manage the actual shortcuts.
Siri Shortcuts are managed in the device settings when using iOS 12 and the Shortcuts application in iOS 13 they are not managed in the Pocket Informant settings. iOS 11 does not support the use of Siri Shortcuts.
The Siri shortcuts also work as a habit tracker, if for example, you create a note daily at 3pm Siri will learn this and ask you daily around 3pm if you want to create a note.
Pocket Informant already supports Siri commands which are different from Siri Shortcuts so if you have been using the Siri commands with Informant those behaviors will not change.
Please contact our support team if you have any further questions on this great new feature.

Some users had an issue in Dark Mode that would make the event text black when being viewed.
Corrected some lingering long title handling issues that a few users reported
Prevent users from creating an event with a due date set before the start date
Corrected a crash some users had when editing the recurrence pattern of a task to none
Corrected an issue reported where the Smart Filter rules were too dark to read
Amended Smart Filter rules background color to work better with text colors
To avoid confusion with some iOS 13 changes the color themes were renamed, Dark Mode has been changed to Gray Theme and black by Alex has been renamed Night Theme.

In this update-
Fixed-
- In the week view: The whole view would for some users bounce horizontally, that is fixed.
- Move data to another calendar was not working, this feature is now fixed and working properly
- Fixed a bug were users with over 200 characters would be locked from removing characters from the title
Improvements-
- Based on customer requests- On devices with a home button that use the L shaped view picker, the sync button is now a different color. This allows users to easily differentiate it from the view selector buttons.
- View filters color changed for better contrasting in light mode.
- Minor visual improvements.
