About Insensitive

Insensitive simulates the quantum mechanical models that are used to describe the nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) experiment. The vector model, density matrix and product operators of an ensemble of up to four spins-1/2 and two spin types are visualized. Each step from the first radiofrequency pulse to the acquisition of the spectrum can be manipulated. Features include selective pulses, weak and strong coupling, dipolar relaxation, gradients, cartesian and spherical product operator basis, phase correction, pulse sequence recording and a comprehensive tutorial.

To make full use of this app a basic knowledge of quantum mechanics as well as a textbook on NMR is recommended.

Check out the free Mac OS X version of Insensitive at http://www.chemie.uni-hamburg.de/nmr/insensitive, which includes the capability to acquire 2D spectra.

If you like Insensitive, please rate it. If you experience problems, please contact me. You can also like Insensitive on Facebook and get news about forthcoming releases.
Insensitive is and will remain free. If you like the app and would like to support its development, please consider buying my app "Song Quiz".

Sep 26, 2012
Fixed a bug that prevented launching Insensitive on some devices (black screen).

IMPORTANT NOTICE: This bug seems to have been causing problems for some time. If you encounter a bug like this, you can assume the following:
- It is most probably my error
- I am unaware of its existence
- I need some information to fix it

Please get in contact with me and file a bug report instead of just giving a bad rating. Once known I usually get rid of bugs within days. This helps all Insensitive users and makes the app better!
