• All new narrative JioTunes! Names, celebrities, and countless other ways to say hello. I mean, not countless. That would be hard to browse. But it's a lot.
• A fancy refresh of the set JioTunes flow, which is both prettier and easier to use. Either would be nice. Both are fancy.
• Now you can quickly set JioTunes right from song pages and search results. The places where you find songs. Which makes sense.
• We also now support some of the nice new rich push notifications, so make sure your notifications are turned on, and let's "continue the conversation" as they say! Not a JioTunes thing, but creating a whole new section just for this seemed superfluous.

No way, Jose. Or Fred. Or any other name. Regardless of your name, on JioSaavn you can watch beautiful music videos – from new releases to classic oldies – in gorgeous high quality, all while moving seamlessly between your tunes and your videos – same queue, new view, yes boo, it's true. And while we're talking about stuff that's seamless, don't forget to try rotating for landscape. She's buttery smooth.
We've also set up channels for you to enjoy an endless stream of videos that suit your mood: Rock, Dance, Rap, Romantic, K-Pop, you name it – even videos for Kids. + Play Next Feature
Previously, you could create a queue of music only by adding new songs to the end of your existing queue of upcoming music. Henceforth, you may add songs to the beginning of your list as well, so that you will hear it immediately after the conclusion of your current song, instead of waiting until the conclusion of all your songs. This option was requested by many users of our software application. It is now available.

No more hunting through a long list to find the current track – it's all right up top waiting for you. Plus, if you're the indecisive type, we've moved the autoplay toggle right into the player. Turn off repeat, toggle on autoplay, and let the good times roll. And as a special bonus, radio and autoplay now use the same queue as well! No more guessing. Yes more control.
++ INTRODUCING "SHORTIES"
And you thought we were done with the player? Think again! Now for select tracks, enjoy cool full screen background videos! Custom videos and animations, made by your favorite artists for their favorite tracks, and nothing you need to do. Just open the player whenever you see a little video icon, and enjoy the ride.

We know you gals and guys LOVE your JioTunes, so we made them easier than ever to discover and set. ++ QR Reader for Jio Set Top Box
For those of you enjoying JioFiber or have a Jio Set Top Box in your homes, there's an AWESOME JioSaavn app update coming for that platform very soon, and you'll be able to log in without that annoying TV keyword. There's no a QR reader in Settings which you'll be able to use to log in just by pointing at the TV. This, kids, is the future.
++ Clear Downloads Handling
Some of our value Pro users have been seeing their downloads disappearing when logging in for the first time in a while, or mistakenly on a new or different account. This, clearly, was not a feature. So we've fixed it, and added an extra layer of protection to help yo know when you've logged into a different account inadvertently before any damage is done to your precious download collection. Rest easy, music hoarders. We've got you.
++ Diagnostics in Feedback Emails
It's a weird thing to build a feature you hope nobody uses, but in case you do need support at any point, now when you head over to Settings > Feedback, we'll attach a diagnostics file to your email which tells our nerd crew exactly where all the bleeps and bloops went rogue. One less thing for you to worry about, and one less step for us to get you back to your music.

For our Pro subscribers, a special treat – not just for the holidays, but all year round! If you're Pro, head over to the My Music tab and you'll occasionally find a new section for Top Fan Codes. This is where you'll find special offers, deals, discounts, and exclusive access at events, whenever they become available. As if removing those pesky ads, unlimited downloading, listening offline, Sonos and smart speaker access, and gorgeous high fidelity music weren't reason enough, now there's yet *another* reason to subscribe to JioSaavn Pro... heck, at this point, it practically pays for itself. :) If you're not already Pro, what are you waiting for? • JioTune Quick Action •
For our Jio users, if you love to change your JioTune more often than your socks, you should change your socks more often. Also, you can now set any song as a JioTune with just one tap! Head to Settings, scroll down to the "Styles" section, and choose "Quick Action". As long as you're on the Jio network, you'll see an option now for JioTune (along with Download or Like). Choose whichever you want, and every song in the app will have that option. Imagine a world, where every song has a JioTune button right next to it. Now pinch yourself. That world is here.

• Podcast Sort Order •
A little one, but for our podcast lovers we fixed episode ordering so it's a little smarter, not unlike yourselves. Now, serial shows will sort from oldest to newest, so you can easily start stories from the beginning, and episodic shows will sort newest first, so you can always stay up to date. Of course, you can still tap the Sort button to set your own preferences for each show, but hopefully now you wont have to.

And we're all about respect. Just head over to Settings and choose whatever option you like.
Also, if you've been having problems with apps (including us) crashing or stopping in the background, we highly recommend updating your iOS version to the latest update 13.2.2. Background playback and processes are way more stable, and it should clear up most of your woes in that department.

Hello, friends. Real talk? There's not much you'll notice in this update. A lot of elbow grease, monkey bars, bug tomfoolery, and performance ballyhoo. We did fix an important bug that was causing some of you to have trouble setting JioTunes. So that should be nice for those of you who were impacted. Otherwise, it's all mysterious hacker stuff.

You thought we were done with lyrics? Think again. For most songs, we even have live lyrics sync! We'll highlight the current line so you can have a karaoke jam with your friends, alone in your room, just follow along, or win a bet at a bar. Even tap to jump right to your favorite spot in the song.
• Lyrics Annotations & Trivia
Again, there you go thinking we were done. Psssh. For popular tracks, we even have annotated lyrics! Read along and learn the story behind the lyrics, discover cool trivia, and more.

Some spring cleaning to make your buttery smooth experience butterier and smoother. We fixed a rogue bug that was, for some users, deleting more songs that it should from your playlists while editing. I mean, we all love surprises, but that wasn't what we had in mind. So it doesn't do that now. We also fixed an issue that was causing tracks to skip or stop if you tried to use the seek bar. Now, seek and ye shall find that it works as expected. Lots of other little guys you wont notice, SDKs and other nerdy stuff got updated.
Sometimes, you just have to organize the closet, ya know? We'll be back in a few weeks with the exciting new stuff!

Some of you were seeing your downloads disappearing. That is decidedly NOT a feature, so we fixed 'er up. Well, actually I guess you can't see something disappear... but we'll save the existential quantum physics debate for another time. For now, your mysterious missing download woes should all be fixed! Also, we fixed an annoying thing where sometimes trying to play your downloads would play your whole library instead.
++ Download All is back!
Also, while we're talking about downloads, the "Download All" toggle in your Library is back too! Not sure where it went, honestly. That rascal is such a trouble-maker. But we corralled it and put it back where it belongs.
++ Device Management
Long-awaited, and long-needed, you can finally manage your authorized Pro devices right in the app! No more emailing our admittedly delightful Audience Experience team. You can authorize and de-authorize your devices as you see fit. Just remember, with great power comes great responsibility. I'm not sure how that applies here, but it sounded smart.
++ Slide to Now Playing
Another sneaky bugger which got lost on the way to 6.0, we've brought back sliding to your now playing song in the player. Just tap on the album art of the now playing track at the top of the player, and you'll jump right to your spot in the queue! (You can also find the same option in the player's ••• menu, if you prefer that.) And yes, since we know this will be your next question, the option works for all songs – not just the Electric Slide. (Boogie woogie woogie!)
++ Minor UI Fixes
Lots of other blablabla little bugs maimed and yadiyadi UI things design-ified. You don't need the deets. We just made lots of minor things better, as always.

While little baby Saavn 6.0 was in the womb, we played her nothing but Mozart. And lemme tell you, those new-age crystal huggers were right... she's way smarter now! The more you listen, the smarter she gets – so keep streaming, and you'll notice newer and better recommendations appearing for you all the time.
• Easier Saving •
Saving your music shouldn't be a chore. Honestly, it kind of used to be. And now it isn't. Just tap the heart button and boom! Saved! You'll find a heart in the player under the now playing song, and on every detail view around the app. And that's not all ...
• Force Touch & Quick Actions •
... you can now save (or do anything else you want) from anywhere using the quick menus! No need to load up an album, song, or playlist, or even to play anything. Just force touch (or long tap if you have an older device) on any album art and you'll see all the options you need. Well, not all of them. It doesn't offer french fries.
• Dark Mode •
Vanilla or chocolate, blonde or brunette, The Resistance or The Empire... whatever your flavor, we're not here to judge. We just know it's hard to choose, and wanted to help. So head over to Settings, where you can choose your mode, or even set it auto-darken only at night. (By the way, the correct answer was vanilla. Everyone knows that. And they're called sprinkles, not "jimmies"... stop making up words.)
• Customizable •
We were going to stop with Dark Mode, but we couldn't help ourselves. There are a bunch of new customizations in Settings, including showing labels on the tab bar, adding a quick action button to all song rows for easier access to download or save, an equalizer to fine tune your audio. And there are even more are on the way, rolling out over the next few weeks!

This is one of those annoying releases where we try to make up something that you'll care about, but the truth is we just had to fix some things you'll never notice. It's kinda like bringing your car to the shop for an oil change and tune-up... they claim they did the tune-up part, but how would you really know? And what is a tune-up anyway? Is my car a piano?

+ New Share Flow
Some of our kids are in Kindergarten, and we were reminded that sharing is indeed caring. So we've totally revamped how we share. Well, I guess technically we revamped how you share, using us to do it. Oy. Too much sharing. Anyway, try sharing some stuff, it's much simpler now!
+ Stored Login Methods
We know a lot of you are getting new phones these days for your mega retina screen Facesnaps. So we made it a little easier to switch devices by magically keeping track of your login method(s). Get a new device, or re-install the app, and as long as you're on the same iCloud account we'll remind you of your previous login so you don't have to start looking through that drawer with all the post-it notes that you swear makes sense to you but we all know better.
+ Various UI/UX Improvements
We made some tweaks to the options menus, search empty states, and a bunch of other little things that just make it a little easier and nicer to use Saavn.
+ Other Clichés
Alongside our UI/UX improvements, there are various and sundry other bug fixes, performance improvements, engagement opportunities, ideations, and growth hacks that are sure to help us pivot into being the Uber of clichéd app improvements. We're giving it 110%, drinking all the Kool-Aid, and breaking down all the silos. It's an envelope-pushing paradigm shift.

Anyway, you and I, we did some amazing stuff together last year – from My Library to playlist builder, drastically improved audio quality, support for Apple Watch, personalized weekly playlists (more of those are coming by the way), blockbuster original music, a slew of awesome original shows, hashtags for browsing, equalizer, and so much more.
We just wanted to pause for a moment, and say THANK YOU for being such loyal and loving users throughout 2017. You're part of our big ol' music-loving family, and are why we work so hard every day.

Lots of you have asked for this, so here it is. Now, your music never stops! Well, not literally. That would be annoying when you want to sleep, or your Mom calls, or whatever. But, it's the next best thing.
Here's how it works: you don't have to do anything! Play whatever you want - a playlist, album, even a single song, and (unless you have a repeat turned on, or if you toggle off the "Autoplay" option in your Settings) we'll keep playing similar music for you. That's it. Sit back and enjoy. It's like radio on steroids.

Yes, me again. I know, I know. :) But it was important. Turns out something went kinda haywire for you fine folks on iOS 11, particularly when using AirPods, Bluetooth, car speakers, or a few other audio scenarios. If you were getting crashes or seeing issues with battery usage, this should take care of it for you!

Honestly? I ate too much turkey at Thanksgiving, woke up a few days later, and now there's another update. Who knows. Guess we found it in the stuffing or something. Anyway, what's new in this guy, let's see...
A quick set of bug fixes. Or, if you're into specifics:
+ Resolved some small issues with accessing the new For You weekly recommendations playlists. (If you haven't tried yours yet, do it now – it's fantastic!)
+ Previously, if you tried to view all songs on an artist's profile, and then play one of those songs, the app would crash. While admittedly exciting, it wasn't the effect we were going for. Tapping one of those songs should play it now. Without crashing. Which is better.
+ Patched up a few other random and rare issues.

+ In 5.14, we've added another "notch" to our belt. An "X" factor, perhaps. A little Thanksgiving bonus to make you feel "full"(screen). iPhone X support has landed! So go, X friends, and enjoy all that full screen, rounded corner, notch-avoiding goodness! No, not ex-friends... X friends. You're still our friends.
+ Also fixed a little bug that was causing the app to crash after phone calls for some users. Sorry about that!

+ For You Playlist
Christmas came early! Open up the playlists folder in My Music, and you'll find a special treat. There's a brand new For You playlist in there, full of recommendations based on your listening history. AND... we'll update it weekly, so you always have fresh music picked just for you. Discover all the tracks you never knew you'd love.
+ Pro Downloads Fix
Some of our Pros have had some trouble with their downloads taking an unexpected vacation in between renewing your subscription. That wasn't nice, and should be fixed now. Your downloads will stick around, through thick and thin. Except maybe Nickelback. Those we might delete on principle. (Just kidding, we love you too Nickelback! You know, like a friend.)
+ Album Recommendations
Album views now have their own recommendations. So if you just can't stop rocking Judwaa 2, open up the album and find something else you'll end up listening to endlessly on repeat and further alienating your neighbors.
+ Less Data, More Album Art
We retooled the way we handle loading album art, to show you better quality art AND use less data over time. The more you use the app, the better it gets. So really, it's almost like you can't afford not to stream more music. It's practically free money at this point.
+ iOS 11 Fixes
It's always something with these newfangled technologies... sheesh. There was some iOS 11 weirdness, but we've tamped that down so you should be good to go!
+ Lots More

Heh, that would be funny. No, it's something, we just honestly didn't understand what the engineers told us. Allegedly, they fiddled with some knobs or whatever and made the whole thing work a little better. A lesser communicator might resort to some pablum like "bug fixes and performances improvements," but not us! We call it... well... the same thing I guess. But we tried.

Sorry, just wanted to get your attention. On to the updates. :)
+ Buffering, Playback, and Bluetooth Improvements
We sent our brave QA team deep into the bowels of the worst network areas we could find. They traveled by car, ramshackle bus, and trains overflowing with passengers, into the dark abyss of 2G. In search of what you ask? In search of a better buffer. They found floor buffers, and even found Michael Buffer. (Okay not really, but we are READY TO RUUUUUUMBBBLLLLEEEEEE!!) But those won't do. NAY! We would not rest until your player is even butterier smoother than before. So, its guts have been ripped up and rebuilt to give you even better playback stability, better buffering, and less skips and restarts in weak or spotty connections.
And we didn't stop there! Lots of annoying and long overdue issues with Bluetooth playback and lock screen controls have been fixed along the way. Also, "Bluetooth" is a weird name. Apparently it has something to do with Vikings? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Seriously, look it up.
+ Playlist Builder
We also dropped a fun new tool in this release, special for you playlist'ers. Now you can build playlists quickly, from scratch, with no player queue required, AND you can add songs in bulk to existing playlists. Just go to the playlists section in My Music and tap the Create Playlist button, or go to the bottom of any of your saved playlists and tap "+ Add Songs". It's pretty jazzy! The builder, not your playlist. Well, maybe that too? I like jazz. Skee bop!
+ Hashtags
The kids love em. (Some of us have kids, that's what they told us.) So we traded in our goofy parent sneakers to do some #hashtaggin! Look for hashtags in any #album or #playlist view to quickly check out more #music. Whether it's moods, genres, artists, or other surprises, hashtags are a #fun way to browse and discover new tunes. (Are we #doing this right? Okay we'll stop #now.)
+ Improved Offline/Online Transitions
For our Pro friends, some hiccups with transitions between offline and online mode have been resolved. If you were suffering from clumsiness, we've got you covered. Assuming it was the app. If you're just clumsy, we'd recommend yoga. Really helps strengthen the core.

Control your Saavn from your Apple Watch... what is this, the future?! Yes, it is. Well it was. Now it's not again. But an existential conversation about the impermanence of time is probably not what you had in mind. So go ahead, party like it's 1999. And then pause your party playlist from your watch and play something else, because it's not 1999. It's 2017. For now.
+ Search History
A new search history view that shows you more trending searches, and a longer list of your past searches. So if you're the type who likes to search a lot, or peep what others are searching for, or both, then have it Sherlock!
+ Bug Fixes & Stability
As always, lots of these sassy rascals taken care of, including annoyances like occasionally losing connection to search and some crashes you might have experienced around notifications. All are in the past. Like 1999 past.
+ Up Next & User Feedback

+ You'll get better search results. Well, smarter ones anyway. We can't vouch for your tastes... if you search for Billy Ray Cyrus, we'll find it faster, but still that's on you.
+ Less issues with timeouts. Not the bad toddler behavior kind. The other one.
+ Some of you lost your downloads if your subscription lapsed – that was regrettable, and we fixed it.

- A small number of you fine people weren't able to search after the last update. Ironically, we searched for the issue, and we found it. So you can now search again. Well, technically you could always search, you just wouldn't always get results. Which is the point, I suppose. So you get results now, which is better.
- Fixed an issue where some of you fine people also weren't able to log out. Well, maybe not "also" ... it could have been totally different people, or the same people. Who knows. Either way, that one is fixed too.
Yes. Those were weird bugs. But hey, they come in all shapes and sizes.
