About LaRue-Carey Insurance Group

LaRue-Carey Insurance Group has been serving clients in central Kentucky since the 1930's. In 1958, Jim LaRue became the sole owner, offering clients general insurance including farm, home, auto and life insurance. Mr. LaRue sold the agency to his son, Alex, in 1997. Alex LaRue specializes in contractor's insurance and insurance for antique, classic and nostalgic cars. In 2000, Aaron LaRue joined the firm, the first of the 3rd generation to do so. His specialty is representing diverse clients in the agricultural and construction industries. Jack LaRue, another third generation descendent, joined LaRue Insurance in December 2004. He is based in the Hodgenville office where he serves home, farm, auto, and commercial clients.
