About Letter Lock
AN EASY TO PLAY, YET IMPOSSIBLE TO MASTER MULTIPLAYER WORD GAME! Each puzzle is built from a random word in the English dictionary, which means you never have to worry about running out of puzzles to play. Put your brain to the test as you try and solve puzzles in fewer guesses than your opponents, all while expanding your vocabulary with new words and definitions!
CHALLENGE A FRIEND
- Multiplayer is the heart of Letter Lock. Start by searching for a friend by username in the friends tab and challenging them to a game. Once the challenge has been sent, you and your opponent will both be trying to guess the same word. There is no time limit and you can come back to the puzzle at anytime if you're stumped (trust us, you might be sometimes!) Once both players have correctly guessed the word, or forfeited, the game is over and the person who guessed the word in the LEAST amount of guesses wins!
COMPETE IN DAILY PUZZLES
- Each day a new random Daily Puzzle is generated. The Daily Puzzle can be accessed from the Games tab by clicking on the PLAY DAILY PUZZLE button at the top of the screen. Everybody gets ONE attempt at the Daily Puzzle. Solve it in the fewest amount of guesses and you might just find your name at the top of the day's leaderboard!
EXPAND YOUR VOCABULARY
- Did you know that there are over 170,000 words in the English dictionary? It's impossible to know them all, but don't worry! After you finish each puzzle, you will be able to view definitions of the word that you were trying to guess straight from the dictionary. This is a great and fun way to learn how to spell new words, and discover how you can work them into your own vocabulary!

The Friends tab has been completely revamped! Now, you will see anybody that you have played a game with at any point, giving you an easy way to send a game to any of your friends. Anytime you send a challenge to somebody who is not on your friends list yet, we will add them for you.

Wondering how you've been faring against your friends? Now there's an easy way to know. Head over to the Friends tab and click on the pie chart of a user. This will open up a new page that will give you lifetime counts of wins, average guess counts (excludes forfeits), and forfeits against that user. Share your bragging rights!

Check out the Most Wins Today in the compete tab to see if you can climb to the top of the leaderboard! The Most Wins Today button displays a table of all users who have at least one win today, sorted by most wins. The list will refresh each day.

POST-GAME CHAT
Multiplayer games now have chat functionality. The chat is available in the End Game screen, so send your opponent a message after you solve your next puzzle!
By default, post-game chat is enabled. If you would like to opt-out, you can disable chat in your Account settings, which can be accessed via the wheel at the top right of your screen.

SHARING IS CARING
- Take bragging rights to the next level. After completing your multiplayer game, click the SHARE button to copy your results to your device. Paste them anywhere you'd like and show off your victories!

RANDOM GAMES
Don't have an opponent to challenge? No problem! Now you can start a new game against a random opponent. You can have up to three random games going at a time.
TIRED OF WAITING ON AN OPPONENT?
Send them a ping! Now you can ping your opponent once per game if they haven't played their turn yet.
EXPIRED GAMES
If a game has been sitting idle for 7 days, it will now be marked completed. Whoever has finished their turn will be awarded the victory. If neither turn has been completed, the game will result in a draw.
Don't have an opponent to challenge? No problem! Now you can start a new game against a random opponent. You can have up to three random games going at a time.

- Run it back! Now you can jump right into another game against an opponent by clicking the Rematch button at the bottom of the End Game screen. This can also be accessed from the History tab by clicking on a game result.
