Time Lapse - something new in Treasure
Time Lapse turns the static photos of your child into a beautiful animated journey through their life as they grow older. The impact is similar to those videos on YouTube where someone has taken a photo of their face every day for years and then painstakingly edited it together - just with zero work
How do we do it?
Each week we choose photos from your child’s timeline. Using image recognition to make sure there’s nothing else in the photo we then rotate the image to make sure the face is always in the same position centred on your child’s eyes, then we blur the background of the image, so the focus is your child’s face.
You can then scroll through the photos, as quickly or as slowly as you like - there’s even an auto-play button, if you’re feeling lazy - watching as your child’s face changes over time. The more photos in your timeline, the greater the change you’ll see. And it’s super fun to scroll though in reverse too, watching them get younger.
We flag that a new Time Lapse is available to watch, by showing a preview in the Treasure section. Tapping on the preview then gives you full control over interacting with the Time Lapse.
You can even save the Time Lapse as a video, to be shared using iMessage or on social media.
