Update 1.60 completely redesigns the media player in the Lifegate Church app. Changes include:
- A mini-player will now follow you through the app if you have sermon audio playing. This gives you easy access to the main media player and also allows you to pause or play audio without leaving the screen that you are viewing.
- The main media player now includes animations and additional controls to make the media playback experience even better!

Update 1.50 is the biggest update ever to the Lifegate Church app! Changes include:
- The graphics used throughout the app, including the Splash Screen and Banners, have all been updated.
- A new Home section has been added which adds a number of new features to the app.
- A Reading Plan has been added. The reading plan also includes an explanation of S.O.A.P.
- You can now access the Lifegate Worship through the app.
- The newest Lifeline Newsletter can now be accessed directly from the app!
- The "Notifications" section of the app has been replaced with a "Sign Ups" section. You can access it from the Home section or from the Connect section.
- The "Info" section has been renamed "Connect".
- The Calendar has been removed from the tab bar and can now be accessed from the Home section.
- The Twitter and Facebook buttons in the Connect section will now take you directly to Lifegate Church's Twitter and Facebook pages if you have either app installed, making it even easier to connect with Lifegate Church.

Update 1.29 makes a number of minor changes to the Lifegate church app and also corrects a crashing issue that could occur on iOS 10.2.1:
- The loading indicator in the Podcast section now shows up correctly.
- The title for events on the Calendar section was being cropped at the bottom for some letters. This has been corrected.
- The Notification popup was causing crashing issues on iOS 10.2.1 so the popup has been disabled.

With Quick Actions, on iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus you can now open Notes, Podcasts, the Calendar, and the Info section of the Lifegate app directly from the home screen of your iPhone.

Update 1.1 makes a number of changes to the Lifegate app:
- Now you can download sermon to your device for offline listening. When viewing details for a specific sermon, just touch the arrow next to the "listen to audio" button and your download will begin. Once a sermon is downloaded, the app will automatically use the downloaded version instead of steaming (if you begin listening after the download is complete).
- A new audio player has been implemented. It includes a simulated equalizer which will remain present if you navigate away from the audio player. Touching the equalizer will return you to the audio player so you can pause, rewind, or fast forward.
- New tab icons have been added to replace the old ones.
