The Load Shedding App allows you to:
-Access load shedding schedules for multiple suburbs or areas
-Proactively anticipate when load shedding will take place
-Share schedules with friends and family
-Save to your calendar
-Equip you to plan your travel times
-Receive customized notifications for all the load shedding stages (1,2,3).
The Load Shedding App covers the schedules for the following suburbs/areas:
- Eskom
- City Power - Johannesburg
- City of Cape Town
- Durban - Ethekwini
- Ekurhuleni
- City of Tshwane
- Nelson Mandela Bay (PE)
- and many more
If you cannot find your area or suburb please let us know, and we'll make sure you get the info you need! Simply tap on the 'Request Suburb/Area to be added' from the search results, in the select suburb screeen or email us at addschedule@loadsheddingapp.co.za.

We have re-written the app completely, to cater for new changes and future functionality. The new codebase will allow us to release updates and new features more quickly.
The update ensures that the Loadshedding app is compatible with iOS 9 and also fixes certain bugs.
We added new functionality to support new ad features, because we have to pay the bills, support the app and develop new functionality soon, while we still need to live with Load shedding.
Oh yes, and we have made deleting a suburb a little bit easier, for those that do not want to swipe to the left. We have included a delete button on the schedule screen.
