1.2
2017-09-29
Release 1.2 Summary:
Fixed various bugs leading to the Watch complication not updating correctly. This previously caused the icon to not show up or the sample event data being shown. The Watch app now always ends up showing the correct data, although it may take 10 minutes or so to update in some cases.
Detailed Release Notes:
∙ When not open to show the current event details, the Watch app now correctly runs only in the background. This means WatchOS will determine when it gets to update, so configuration changes may take longer (up to 10 minutes) to show up on the Watch. This change allows WatchOS to better manage battery life on the Watch and also fixes the cases where configuration changes were getting stuck.
∙ Configuration changes are now also "self-healing" and retried, to recover from cases where WatchOS kills the app during a configuration change because it feels like it.
∙ Fixed UI pausing when accessing site icon download in Icons Settings.
∙ Fixed Watch app redrawing too often, which was wasting battery.
∙ Fixed a bug that was causing event icons not to be shown in some cases.
∙ Fixed a bug that was causing Watch app not to update immediately after being reinstalled.
∙ Updating the app icon to remove extra white frame.
∙ Teaser: Slightly less terrible configuration app for iOS coming soon!
