• This update adds a shortcut button that suggests a numbered prefix for your text titles, so that you can quickly organize your texts within a folder.
The tool will automatically suggest you to prefix your text title with "01 - " by default, but it will detect whether you are using another format in the folder and will use it to adapt its suggestion.
For instance, if you have a text called "001. My text" in your folder, the tool will suggest "002. " as a prefix for your next text title. Pretty cool!

• FOLDERS: I've finally implemented folders, to organize your texts! I'll improve the system over the next few updates, but it is already working and you can add texts to a folder, one by one. I'll work on a way to add several texts to a folder at once, for instance. When you import and export data, the folders are recreated too. I'll add more import options soon too. If you notice any bugs, please let know :-)
• SORT: you can now sort your texts by date added or by name (ascending or descending).

Big thank you to everyone that has sent me feedback emails! Version 2.7 starts a complete redesign of the app, but it will take me a few weeks to improve all screens. Also, I am working on many new features and little convenience improvements when organizing files, importing, etc.
• NEW DESIGN: the front page has been redesigned, the rest will follow, page by page! The idea is to make the app much more intuitive and iOS-like. The new design also allows me to prepare for some new features that I am currently cooking… but that will be a surprise!
• IMPORT FILE NAMES: When you import a txt/html/pdf/rtf file, if you name the file with this format: ‘TITLE ** AUTHOR’, the title and the author will be automatically extracted. For instance if you name the file ‘The Road Not Taken ** Robert Frost’, the title will be ‘The Road Not Taken’ and the author of the text will be ‘Robert Frost’

If I may say so myself, 2.6 is a BIG deal: it adds file import and selective learning for actors and comedians! I’ve even recorded a video tutorial myself to explain that line selection feature…
• ACTORS & COMEDIANS: you can now EXCLUDE lines from a script and focus only on your own lines. Just add “///“ in front of any line you don’t want to study. But I’ve also created tools that automatically select all lines from your character! Check the video tutorial inside the app :-)
• IMPORT PDF, TXT, RTF, HTML: you are not dreaming. I have finally implement file import!
Also:
• ADD TEXT: improved page for entering texts by end. The entire page now scrolls, so no more unexpected scrolling when you start editing your text.
• TEXT ALIGNMENT: choose left, center or right for each text.
• IMPROVED UI: buttons are more consistent and placed in a better way. Granted, it is still far from perfect. Feedback and ideas welcome as always!
• NON-LATIN LANGUAGES: the detection of Chinese/Japanese/Korean texts, or any other language that doesn’t use the latin alphabet, is now automatic. Nothing to do. Nada. When you study the text, if it contains character, each character will be hidden separately.
• FIX: the author would sometimes not be refreshed after you change it. Fixed.
• FIX: there were occasionally text formatting issues when switching themes, and you had to re-launch the app. Fixed too!
And many other small changes that would not be worth mentioning here!

I am pretty excited about this update, because the app now lets Premium users learn texts line by line! I've tested it myself to learn poetry or lyrics, and it really trains your memory in a completely different way.
• LINE BY LINE: Premium users can now study their texts line by line! Here’s how it works: when you get started with a text, all lines will be hidden. Try to remember the first line and then press the usual button on the right: the first line will appear. Each time you press the button, an additional line will be revealed. Tap “method” to read instructions on when to use it (in some cases I recommend learning word by word first).
• CUSTOM TEXTS: non-Premium users can now save an additional custom text into the app.
• BUG INVISIBLE BUTTON: I noticed a very small bug: we could still “tap” the “hide more” button even though it was invisible. We then had to tap the “hide less” button several times before the first words started re-appearing. Fixed! :-)
This addition is the first step towards what I want the app to become: in addition to being a great tool to learn songs and poetry, I’d like it to become the perfect companion tool for actors learning their lines. If you are an actor or comedian and are using the app to study scripts, please get in touch so that I can ask you a few questions about how you study!

Introducing text options! When you add or edit a text, tap “options” to fine-tune your settings for that text. Here are the two first options available:
• CHARACTERS: I am very excited to announce that the app now supports texts in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, and any other language that uses characters rather than words separated by white spaces. To enable that for a specific text, tap "edit" then "options" and set "Text uses characters" to YES.
• AUTO-CORRECTION: the options menu also includes an option to disable auto-correction when typing in your text. Ideal when using old English!
Ratings and review are extremely important for indie developers like myself, so please take a minute to write a review if you haven’t already! Just tap “Rate the app” in the options menu.

• ADVANCED LEARNING METHODS: I’ve implemented an advanced new learning method and am working on a third one. As you know, the default method hides word randomly, which is a great method for remembering texts in details. Premium users can now choose a method that leaves the first letter of each word visible, which makes learning a bit easier at first. I am working on a third learning method, so expect a new app update very soon!
• HIDING ORDER SHUFFLING: I don’t know if you noticed, but the words were always hidden in the same “order” when you hide and unhide them. Now, when you unhide all words of a text, order shuffling automatically happens, and different words will be hidden when you tap again the button to hide words. That way, you can learn the texts another way and memorize it better.
• LONG PRESS: If you long press on the “unhide words” button (on the left), all words will be unhidden (the text is reset, and the order of words hiding is shuffled).
• CONTACT OPTIONS: I’ve merged the two contact options so that if you tap on contact me, it will either open Mail app if you have it installed, or copy my email to your clipboard.
• PLACEHOLDER: I’ve added a small mention that lets you know that the Author field is optional.
• CONTACT EMAIL: I’ve removed the default text body that was put inside emails, when you contact me via Mail app. That way, you do not have to delete it yourself.
Let me know if you have feature ideas. My goal is to make this app a fantastic companion for anyone looking to learn tons of texts!

• DARK MODE: Premium users can now use the brand new Dark Mode. It’s easy on the eyes at night… and looks awesome!
• FIX: when using auto-scroll on iPhones with a Home Indicator (X, XS, XS Max), the text would sometimes not scroll until the end. I’ve added extra-spacing at the bottom of texts to fix that.
• FIX: when adding a new text, you could accidentally swipe back to the previous page and lose your changes. I’ve disabled that.

Memy 2.0 is there! I’ve worked hard to create this new version, and am now focusing on adding some great features you suggested me. Keep sending me feedback.
• Brand new design: Memy is now a beautiful text-based app with a black-and-white design and great font types.
• When learning, the entire screen is now focused on the text, for less distraction and more screen space. No navigation bar, and the title disappears from the page when you scroll.
• On iPhones, when adding a new text, there used to be very little space to enter your text. Now, the title of the page, the title text field and the author text field all automatically disappear when you start typing your text, so that it takes the full screen. Tap “show fields“ to make them reappear. Smooth, isn’t it?
• The app now implements subscriptions, and any user that had previously purchased the app will have Premium access automatically. Contact me if it is not the case.
• I want to keep an air of mystery on what features I’m working on right now, but expect much more changes very soon.
I hope these improvements will continue to make Memy your best companion tool when learning important texts.

Thanks to a great user feedback (thank you, keep them coming!), 2 new features are now available:
- Learn lyrics and sing along: your text can now automatically scroll! Click the play button (red) to start the autoscroll. To adjust the speed, click the gray button to display more controls, and click the + or - (red buttons) to increase or decrease the autoscrolling speed.
- You can change the font size. While learning a text, click the gray button to display more controls, and click A+ or A- to change increase or decrease the font size. Your font size preference will saved.
- And so that you don't have to adjust settings every time you open the app, your font size and speed preferences are automatically saved.
