Now, with a new all planned filter option, you see all your planned tasks at the same time.

In this release, sorting has been made more convenient. You can sort both completed and current tasks as per your selected sorting order.

There are a couple of bug fixes in this version to provide you with a smooth experience.
2.18 2020-05-26
We’ve added the ability to sort by importance in the All and Complete smart lists.

We squashed some bugs, including one that was causing your app to crash.

We made some accessibility improvements including fixing VoiceOver to distinguish between smart lists and custom lists, as well as making the remove from My Day button accessible.
2.17 2020-05-04
Want to have an overview of all your tasks? Introducing the All smart list, one of your top requested features.

We didn’t just stop at the All smart list, we now also have the Completed smart list so you can also see all the tasks you’ve checked off.

If you weren’t a fan of your completed tasks mixing with the uncompleted ones, then you’ll be glad to hear that we’ve moved your completed tasks to the bottom. Now you have easy access to the completed tasks without them getting in the way of your productivity.

Coming from Wunderlist? We’ve made some improvements to our importer.

We fixed a crash that happened when you sorted a list while the app was syncing.

We made some accessibility improvements: VoiceOver now announces the change of state for the user consent button, and also announces the current calendar date when setting a custom reminder date.
2.16 2020-04-21
We have made a couple of bug fixes for you in this release:

We’ve improved the way we handle snooze for reminders. Now, your snooze time will be specific to the device you’ve snoozed rather than syncing to other devices.

You may have noticed that we double-booked you to complete your weekly tasks two days in a row. That’s now fixed so your tasks set to repeat weekly will show up only on their selected day.
2.15 2020-04-06
Printing has arrived on iOS! If you like to have a hard copy of your lists, then you can now print them out.

For accessibility, we fixed the announce position of a file attachment.

If you find that the app badge isn’t behaving as it should, then this update should fix that for you.

Sometimes our app was crashing if you chose a custom recurrence but didn’t select the start date. We fixed that one.
2.14 2020-03-24
You asked, and we listened. This update brings a whole heap of new features that you’ve been requesting.

Introducing app badge support. You now have three options for app badge notifications—Added to My Day and not completed, due and overdue, and turned off for those who don’t like to see those little red numbers.

You can now add new tasks to the top.

Starred tasks can now move to the top too.

Set your preference for all of these in your app settings.
2.13 2020-03-06
We’re constantly working on our sync, and we’ve made a lot of improvements in this update.

For Chinese, Japanese, and Korean languages our smart due dates weren’t working correctly. We’ve fixed that now.

We fixed an issue where the UI didn’t update if a task was deleted when you were in search results.

Our header colors were not changing correctly... now they do.

We made a number of accessibility fixes, including announcing that file is not downloaded if an attachment hasn’t downloaded yet. We also hide the sidebar scroller when VoiceOver is on.
2.12 2020-02-24
We fixed a crash that could pop up when you switched between To Do and another app.

Sometimes your deleted due dates or recurrence options would pop back into the app when you relaunched it. We’ve made sure that they’re gone for good now.

We made a lot of accessibility fixes, including not cutting off the text when you hit the share button and you have a larger text size.

We also made some VoiceOver improvements.

Roses are red, violets are blue, we have bug fix release notes, just for you.
We fixed the delay between adding a task from Suggestions and seeing it in My Day.
Importing from Wunderlist? We’re very happy to have you. If you switched accounts during the import you may have noticed an issue with the import. We’ve fixed it now.
If you were too speedy when you added a photo as a file to a task, we would attach the photo twice. We’ve caught up with your speediness and will only add one photo now.
The sections within your Flagged Email list have had a slight name change to make the sections clearer.
We fixed a problem when adding characters with the return key on a task in Japanese or Chinese.
We’ve improved our error messages, so, if something goes wrong, we’ll give you more of an idea of what the issue is.

2.8 2020-01-06
We’ve changed the look of Suggestions in My Day and revamped the sections.

If you’ve been using our smart due dates (try typing “tomorrow” when you add a task) then you may have noticed that the due date text didn’t then disappear from your task. We’ll now delete it for you.

We’ve improved your Siri shortcuts experience by introducing Siri donations, and also improving localization.

On Japanese devices the support option was missing in Settings. Sorry about that. If you have a problem do get in touch with us now.

We fixed an accessibility issue where the voiceover was not announcing available actions on uploaded files in the detail view.
2.7 2019-12-16
Introducing Siri shortcuts! You can now add your own shortcuts for To Do. Just open settings, tap Siri Shortcuts and you can create shortcuts to open a specific list or to add a new task to a specific list.

We’re also very happy to share our, uh, share extension with you! Need to save a web page to your reading list or add something to your holiday shopping list in a hurry? Just tap the share button, select the list and we’ll do the rest.

Coming from Wunderlist? We’ve made it easier to reshare your shared lists. Share by email and we’ll add the email addresses of your previous list members.

You can now turn off notifications for shared lists. If those shared holiday shopping lists are getting a little too noisy, just head to settings and toggle shared list activity off.
2.6 2019-12-02
We’ve brought push notifications to personal Microsoft accounts. What does that mean? If you share a list, you’ll be notified if the other person adds a task or checks one off. Coming soon for work and school accounts too.

Importing your lists from Wunderlist? We’ll now make the lists that were shared in Wunderlist and prompt you to reshare them in To Do.

We’ll now star your tasks from Planner if the importance level is set.

We’ve given our menu view a little bit of elasticity, so it stretches a bit if you try to extend it past its maximum view. It’s all in the details.
2.5 2019-11-18
We’ve brought the rich entry task bar to iOS. Now you can set due dates, reminders and add a task to My Day all while creating a task.

If that still sounds like too much extra work, then try typing “remind me today at 8:00” into the task name and watch the magic happen. That’s right, natural language processing has come to iOS.

We made some color improvements to our sidebar when you’re in dark mode.

We updated some of our illustrations.

We fixed some crashes and squashed some bugs.
2.4 2019-11-04
We now support Face ID if you use To Do with Mobile Device Management.

We hope you love our dark mode as much as we do. We’ve extended our support to the help articles too, so you can rest your eyes while you search through our tips and tricks.

Don’t want to see a preview of a URL in your notes? You can now toggle the option off in your settings.

We fixed an issue that cropped up in iOS 13 which meant that hashtags were no longer clickable.

Depending on your time zone due dates occasionally shifted by a few hours. We fixed that now.

We made a whole bunch of accessibility improvements.
2.3 2019-10-21
In this update we made a few minor design improvements.

If you use Intune then you may have been experiencing crashes on To Do. We’ve fixed that now so the two will work well together again.

If you were editing a list and then navigated away from the list the wrong list title would be edited... which was just confusing, so we fixed it.

We fixed a few issues with swiping.
2.2 2019-10-07
We’ve turned off the lights! Set your iOS or iPadOS 13 system settings to dark mode and watch To Do embrace the dark side.

You can now drag a URL onto a task on iPad from any other app to add it to a note. Drag it to the task list to create a task out of the note.

If you’re on iOS or iPadOS 13 you’ll now see a preview card for URLs or be able to watch a video within To Do.

We made some iOS 13 fixes.

Coming from Wunderlist? You can now import your files across to To Do using our importer, except for Dropbox files.
2.1 2019-09-25
After our big launch in the last update, we took some time to focus on the little things. What does that mean? Small improvements and bug fixes, including:

If you have a long account name you may have noticed that the search icon got shoved off the screen. We’ve put it back in its rightful place.

If you use drag and drop on your iPhone you no longer have to use both hands to navigate back—drag the list and hover it over the back icon or a particular list until it flashes to see the list view or the contents of a particular list.

We made some accessibility improvements around our theme picker.
2.0.1 2019-09-11
Today we have something a little special to announce—we have a brand new look!
You’ll notice your lists look a little different now: we’ve removed the large headers and given your tasks a little pop.
We now have full color backgrounds. Choose from an image, plain or pastel colors. And each list can still be individually customized.

You can now drag and drop between lists and tasks. Try out the following:
- Drag a step to another task or turn it into a task by dragging it into the list.
- Drag a task to another list, add it to My Day or drag to Important to star it.

Select multiple tasks by long-pressing on one, dragging it and then tapping another one. You can then drag these tasks to the New List button to create a new list from them.
Finally you can long-press on a list, drag it and select multiple other lists to add them to a group.

And if all of that wasn’t enough, we’ve also given our logo a refresh.

Came here looking for a bug fix, left with a brand new look.

Love it? Let us know on Twitter or Facebook - @MicrosoftToDo.

We also fixed an issue that didn’t update the date on recurring tasks.

New: You can now add a task straight in your Planned smart list. It’ll set a due date for today and you can find it again in your Tasks list.
Fixed: Having issues setting a recurring task to start on a date that’s not today? We like to encourage productivity, but we were probably being a bit bossy with this one. You can now set it to start on any day.
Fixed: A number of accessibility issues.

New: We’ve just made productivity a whole lot easier on the iPad—we now support a three pane layout! Huh? We hear you say, what does that mean? It means that you can see your lists, your tasks, and the steps for a particular task all at the same time. You will no longer need to dismiss the sidebar in order to get back to ticking off your tasks.

Fixed: We had an accessibility issue where VoiceOver wouldn’t let you edit a note. We’ve fixed that one now.
1.46 2018-12-17
Fixed: Was the Done button doing a little dance for you when creating a new task? We've calmed it down and it won’t be jumping around the screen anymore.

We’ve done a couple of other small fixes that are too fiddly to mention.

While you’re here, we’d like to remind you of some of our other cool new features, like our new Planned and Important smart list. Tried them out yet? Tell us what you think on Twitter or Facebook (@microsofttodo).

We’ve added sections to the Planned smart list, so you can easily see your scheduled tasks grouped by Today, Tomorrow and beyond. You can even keep track of those past due tasks under Overdue.

And if you’d rather not see those tasks from the past or those too far in the future, you also have the option to collapse each section in Planned. Just hide the other sections to focus on your tasks due Today, Tomorrow or beyond.

We’ve also added the option to automatically hide your empty smart lists, so you won’t see an empty Planned or Important list in the sidebar.

Fixed: The button to create new tasks wasn’t reachable for VoiceOver and Switch Control users. We’ve corrected that issue, so it’s now possible for those users to create new tasks again.

New: We’ve made it easier to move your tasks between lists. Just swipe from the left on the to-do, tap the new yellow Move to button and choose the new list.

New: We believe that a to-do by any other name would still accomplish just as much, so our To-Do list is now named Tasks.

Improved: We’re continuing to make improvements to sync and accessibility. This particular update includes faster sync for newly created lists and better voiceover support when completing tasks.

This update is the last version of Microsoft To-Do that will support iOS 9. Please update to iOS 10 to continue receiving updates.
