Thanks for all user feedback (please do always use "Mail", not only "Ratings and Reviews").
- Divers bug fixes (SYSEX, MIDI devices)
- Instrument setting is now locked, while MIDI file is playing (only when the switch "Local Sound" is set to "ON"). I couldn't solve this problem with Apple (bug was reported).
- The iPhone version was improved. You don't need to stop MIDI file playing, before you switch to "Settings".
- Received MIDI input indicators are now also available in the "Setting" mode.
- If you don't like the included General MIDI sounds and if you have the Roland virtual "Sound Canvas" App (available in the App store for about 20 $) or the sound module SC-8820, then you can map the General MIDI instruments to all of 1136 possible SC-8820 instruments of the "Sound Canvas". This will result in a personalized sounding of Standard MIDI flles, please try it! Go to "MIDI Options" and than press the "Sound Canvas" button. Select the General MIDI instrument that you will map to an other instrument and choose one of the list below. Instrument mappings can be saved to and loaded from the shared iTunes folder.
Attention: You should always map a percussive instrument like
"(0) Piano" to a percussive instrument like " (0;1) Upright Piano"
and a non percussive instrument like "(21) Accordion" to a non percussive instrument like "(21;24) Hard Accordion".
You can also map the General MIDI drum set to one of 37 other drum sets of the "Sound Canvas".
Switch "Local Sound" to OFF and select for "MIDI Out device "Sound Canvas (MIDI In)". Always start first "Sound Canvas" and then the "MIDI file player"!

How to make a play list?
- Press "MIDI files", add the desired MIDI files to the favorites
- Press "Go to favorites" and then "OK"
- Press "Play" ("Auto next" must be "ON" for continuous playing)
To set the order, you could rename the MIDI files with an ascending number at the beginning (e.g. "*0010_MySong"). Leave spaces between the numbers (e.g. 0010, 0020, 0030) for later moves to an other position.
