- Print Subscription Integration. Subscribers to the print edition of Motor Trend can now access iPad issues for free. In the “Store” section of the app, tap on “Existing Print Subscriber” or “Sign In” to sign in as a print subscriber and access iPad issues for free.
- Bookmarks. Stories can be bookmarked so that you can easily return to a favorite article, even if that article is in a different issue than the one currently open.
- Progressive Downloads. Issue downloads are broken into small segments, enabling you to start reading the issue while it is still being progressively downloaded in the background. If you select a story that is still being downloaded, that story will be given download priority, making it available for you to read as quickly as possible.
- Top Toolbar. A new toolbar along the top of the app that contains Forward/Backward buttons, a Table of Contents dropdown list, and Bookmarks.
- Side Tap Navigation. Tap the sides of the iPad to move from story to story within the issue.
- Push Notifications.
