Once you’ve added a preferred doctor, you’ll see them each time you open the app. Then it's easy to quick access information like Medical Office Visit price and Scheduling info. Saving a doctor keeps their information handy for ongoing reference. We also added more information about costs to expect for out-of-network provider care. Click the ‘i’ tooltip on the first result page for out-of-network copay and balance billing information. If a user searches for a provider outside their policy’s networks, they’ll see an ‘out of network coverage’ button.

We cured a few bugs. We fixed an error users saw to a feedback survey and back to the Surest app. Out of pocket accumulation was ‘sticking’ after filtering to previous year accumulation; that's fixed in v4.1.0. The chat option was showing outside of Surest Member Services business, so we’ve fixed that too.

We updated the app to improve the user experience and zapped some bugs. Some users saw a ‘Something went wrong’ screen after doing many searches in a row or clicking the search bar without typing. We fixed both of these bugs. Back-button routing was’t working if a user submitted feedback to Surest. We ensured users could return to the provider list after submitting feedback.

We’re switching things up with a fresh look and feel. We’ve simplified and unified app navigation across web and mobile applications. Users will find all functions sorted into four intuitive categories: Find care, Your plan, Account, and Help. Tiles on each menu page make key actions (like enrolling in paperless!) easy. Quick link buttons to Claims and ID card (available under ‘Your plan’) show on the Find Care landing screen. Registered app users must update their app version - then login and continue on their health-seeking journey.

App users will begin seeing claims ‘Under Review’. We’re keeping Surest members informed by letting them see that a medical claim is received and is being processed.

We’ve added helpful descriptions of what to search for. Users get guidance by selecting the ‘i’ icon in the upper right corner after starting a search.

See more details about the doctor you’re considering. You can see their gender, if they offer telemedicine, and if they offer extended clinic hours. See these attributes after you’ve searched for a provider by name.

We updated the app to improve the user experience and showed some bugs the exit. The app registration flow now considers last names with special characters.

Search by the name of a location near you. Confirm network participation and get scheduling info. You can filter search results in the primary search bar to help you find what you’re looking for. Try filtering for locations, specialties, conditions, or drugs.

See more details about the doctor you’re considering. You can see if they offer telemedicine, have extended clinic hours, and the languages they speak. See these attributes after you’ve selected a provider by name.

Surest policy holders and spouses can order another set of ID cards from the comfort of their couch. It’s a two-click process to send another set of cards to the address on record.

We expanded subscriber access to dependent claims in the Claim section of the Surest app. This makes it easier for subscribers to manage healthcare spending. App users will start seeing two blue hearts indicating Premium Care Physicians (per UnitedHealthcare Premium program).

We updated the app to improve the user experience and kissed some bugs goodbye. We resolved the oops screen when a subscriber canceled a dependent’s activated coverage. And the error screen that shows if a member mis-enters the MFA code during registration. We fixed app crashes when viewing the digital ID card. The options to set and reset out of pocket spending filters are easier to use.

Surest members see a reminder to consider relevant virtual care when they’re navigating in the Surest app. The app promotes virtual providers when a reasonable alternative to in-person care. Communication preferences for dependent members are simpler for the dependent member-type.

We found some bugs and sent them packing. When we haven’t priced a provider, we don’t display a price on the map pin [remedying nonsense, but infrequent, 0$ price]. We fixed the spinner screen that happened when members tried to view National DME Suppliers.

You’ll see and can filter by rating when viewing a list of doctors. Read reviews for a specific doctor on the details page.

We updated the app to improve the user experience and zapped some bugs. Moving the Surest app to the background caused immediate logout. Now the app stays on the screen the user was last on. We adjusted how we present notifications when using the map to search for providers. Filtering the list of provider results using the search bar, and then clicking back button, won't reset the list results anymore.

Surest routine quality control = bugs fixed. We cured a bug where app users with large text size couldn't see the button to confirm their communication preferences.

Members can use a digital form to submit other insurance information at the start of their plan year. The digital form presents in app after answering the ‘Have additional coverage?’ question. It's also available in Surest Plan > Plan resources > Coordination of Benefits. In the rare case that Surest doesn’t have a valid address on file, we will prompt a user to set their location when they open the app. Surest members who ‘Send us a message’ in app will see an optional Reference ID field; members with an open service request will have a Reference ID.

We updated the app to improve the user experience and zapped some bugs. We fixed the bug that caused the app to error when registering for a Surest account. A bug that caused the same care option results for a second (or multiple) search in the same session is fixed. We repaired the session timeout modal that lets members extend their session before automatic logout. User-initiated logout has also been repaired. The app design for members with benefits through a 3rd party pharmacy benefits manager is uniform with other parts of the app. Some users saw a ‘Something Went Wrong’ error page if they tried to refresh their browser after purchasing a coverage. We’ve made a fix to ensure the browser reloads the confirmation page.

Your location is saved for your next search - whether that’s on the web or mobile app. The popular chat with Surest Member Services has new one-click buttons and a feedback survey. We updated the app to improve the user experience and bounced some bugs. The biometric login feature was keeping some users who access more than one Surest account from the same device from logging in. Now users can set biometric login to the account of their choosing. We improved sub-page navigation ease so users don’t have to return to the home page each time. The default map radius is removed - users can continue to filter based on their preferences. The out-of-pocket limit info tip is restored. A subscriber’s ability to activate coverage on a dependent’s behalf is live again.

Users have the option to search by name for practitioners/locations or by specialty to narrow the provider directory. This is useful to users who have a specific provider in mind. When you start a search, you’ll see common search options presented as one-click tiles. You can chose to edit your search location before searching or on a later screen. A change to search location is saved for the next time you use the mobile or web app.
When a user has elected paperless delivery and their email address is undeliverable, they will be prompted to confirm their email address or call to update.
We updated the Surest app to improve the user experience and zapped some bugs. Users with a specific set of accessibility settings saw a purple screen instead of the login form; we’ve fixed that. The app now allows a user to scroll the list of all providers after tapping on a map cluster.
