About MySequence

Analyse DNA sequences on your iPhone.
MySequence loads and displays .abi, .ab1, or .scf files, a file format commonly used in DNA sequencing. If you are getting your sequencing results as zipped mail attachments, MySequence has you covered as well.

MySequence stores and organises your sequencing files and allows you to synch your sequencing files across all your devices
The app allows viewing and editing of the raw data, extracts the DNA sequence and base positions, translates the DNA sequence into an amino acid sequence of the desired frame and allows export of sequence, translation and a high-quality PDF report via email, AirPrint or to other iPhone - iPad applications.

MySequence also opens and analyses Next-Generation Sequencing data (FastQ format) to check the result and quality of your reaction directly on you mobile device.

1.5
Apr 6, 2016
With version 1.5, MySequence enters the next generation:
-support for FASTQ / FASTA (plain or gZipped)
-quality reports for next-generation sequencing data

-since NGS data is (potentially) quite large, analysis is (by default) restricted to the first 20000 reads. This can be changed (or turned off entirely) in the settings.
-the quality offset for fastQ files (Sanger, older Illumina formats etc) can be adjusted in Settings.

Feb 18, 2016
-Take your sequences with you: MySequence can now (optionally) save your sequencing files.
-All your sequences everywhere: MySequence allows you to synch your sequencing files across all your devices, optionally, of course. This is especially handy for sharing your files with MySequence for Mac
-Zip: MySequence can now open Zip files and extract sequencing files for analysis. Nifty when you are using a very old-school sequencing service provider (like me).
-A unified interface for iPhone and iPad allows you to directly search in the chromatogram view.
-A lot of small bug fixes and improvements, and a modernised code base.
-You can now leave feedback directly in the App. Let me know what you think about MySequence, how it fits your molecular biology workflow, and what features you'd like to see added.
