This update adds support for Siri Shortcuts for iOS12 users, so Siri can now tell you either the next departure, or a specific departure, for your favourite routes.
To set up Siri Shortcuts:
- make sure your device is running iOS 12 or later
- use the app to view the departures for your favourite route
- go to the Settings app on your device
- tap "Siri and Search"
- tap your departure, which should be shown under "Suggested Shortcuts"
- you might need to tap "All Shortcuts" then "See All"
- you can choose the next departure, or a fixed departure if you always take the same service
- use the red button to record your Siri trigger phrase, then tap "Done"
Then you'll be able to get updates by simply saying "Hey Siri, how's 08:17 running?" (Or "Hey Siri, what disaster has befallen East Midlands Railway today?" if you're as jaded as I am.)
