Noonish - discover local solar times. Description
Noon... ish!

Based on your location, Noonish calculates
- true (aka "apparent") solar time
- mean solar time
- solar and lunar events

Have you ever wanted to make sure your sundial was working?! Have you ever wanted a totally excellent, inane, and esoteric reason why you were 'late'? Have you found yourself in the middle of the Atlantic wondering what time it was so you could determine your location with a sextant? Do you wonder when the sun comes up in the morning? When it's darkest at night? Step right up!

Fix equation of time.

Using our straightest rulers, flowiest pens, and liberal pocket protection we've rebuilt the app from the ground up. Bugs were debugged, numbers counted, and the interface re-faced.

New features include...
- It's a lot easier to explore the map! Just pan and tap anywhere to check out the local times there.
- More detailed (and accurate!) solar and lunar events.
- Solar times explain themselves and how they're derived.

All with a sincere thanks to our customers for honest and helpful feedback. Keep it coming!

We also owe collaborative credit to these awesome folks:
- Vladimir Agafonkin, of suncalc.net
- US Dept. of Commerce > NOAA > Earth System Research Laboratory.
