Outlaw Cosmetics is a fashionably forward cosmetic brand, and makeup artistry studio founded in West Hollywood, Calif. It’s influenced by the Hollywood culture of the film and music industry. The makeup and lash studio is located on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood. Outlaw Cosmetics was founded in 2013 by longtime Hollywood makeup artist Sara Rabuse. After working on set for many years and for other major cosmetic brands, Sara felt the need to create a brand that was innovative, bold and camera friendly with a strong emphasis in eyelashes.
Sara started her career in 2003 by attending Joe Blasco Makeup Academy in Hollywood. Motivated by her love for art, glamour and music videos, she decided to pursue makeup artistry. “Growing up in the MTV music video era, I became obsessed the art direction of edgy, fashionably forward makeup looks seen in music videos; bold colors, big lashes, smokey eyes, bright lips and special fx. I grew up listening to grunge, rock, country and pop music so that has always been an influence to my work,” said Rabuse.
Outlaw believes in giving back. Monthly donations are made to the Humane Society of the United States and The Wounded Warrior Project.
