In as little as 30 minutes of your time, you can rescue perfectly good food from going to waste and deliver it to nonprofits who serve those who are food insecure.
Connect to your existing social media accounts to sign up to be a food rescue hero.
Set your preferences on when and where you can do food rescues.
Get alerts when rescues become available. Opt in to rescues that fit your schedule. Rescue everyday, every week or just give it a try.
Food rescue heroes get information on where to pick up the food and where to drop it off—we guide you every step of the way.
The app gives you information about the work that the nonprofit you are delivering to. And because you drop off at directly to the organization that will distribute the food, you see the impact you have made on hunger.

Now you can invite your friends and family to become Food Rescue Heroes! Just tap on Invite Friends, choose a few contacts, add a personal note if you like, and that's it. Your friends will receive a link to download the app and we'll help them get started.
When you select Impact, you'll find real-time data showing the impact that the Food Rescue Hero network has made on the community at large. See your personal impact, your metro area's impact, or the nationwide impact of our movement. You can also share these infographics on other social networks.

These rescues occur at the same time and place each week, and allow you to build relationships with our food donors and nonprofit partners, making you their favorite food rescue friend! Sign up for, request a sub, or drop a weekly rescue at any time right from your app! We've also squashed some bugs and made some performance improvements!
