About Pilot cList

Pilot cList is a checklist app tailored for people who perform repetitive tasks such as preflight checking an aircraft before each flight. You can quickly fine tune the sequence of events as you go through the list; add new items, change the details of a task, delete an item, or reorder the sequence of events to match how you perform a task.

It's also great before you fly by organizing your travel preparation activities such as getting ready, packing, and locking up the house. The last thing you want to think about as you head to the airport is 'Did I remember to...'

One of the most powerful features of Pilot cList is the ability to create one copy of a task or list and include it in multiple places. Instead of duplicating things, you can include one list inside another or add an item to multiple lists. If you change the name of a list or item, it is changed everywhere you used it. When you nest lists Pilot cList creates an clean outline format for you.

Note: You can use all the Pilot cList features (except backing up your lists to our servers) without creating an account with One in a Million Apps LLC. Registering is completely optional.

Features:

° Edit your lists right on the device; this is a great way to customize the task at hand.

° Organize your lists into groups.

° Clean outline format.

° Lets you cross out an item instead of checking it off.

° Share lists using email, AirDrop, or DropBox.

° Backup and synchronize your lists amongst all your iPhone and iPad devices using the One in a Million Apps LLC servers.

° Works in portrait and landscape orientation.

° Apple Watch support lets you leave your phone in your pocket while marking tasks complete. Quickly check off items as you finish them and see what's next to do as Pilot cList hides the checked item.

What's New in the Latest Version 1.9

Last updated on Sep 25, 2022
Old Versions
New features:

° In this release we added the ability to deregister from the One in a Million Apps server. Deregistering Pilot cList will remove all your list information from our cloud servers. If this is the only (or last) One in a Million Apps product you have registered for, your username & password will also be deleted. Your lists will remain on your device.

° The app has been built with the latest Apple tools to support all their new devices.

Bug fixes:

° When setting Delete Database option in device General Settings and launching the app, it would properly remove all your lists, but incorrectly recreate the sample lists.
° If you were a registered user and you imported a list someone shared with you, then performed a synchronize operation to write your lists to our cloud servers, some list records were not properly uploaded to the cloud.
° It made more sense for the [Register] button to be located at the top of Settings scene instead of after the password, so it has been moved.

* To Watch Button.
If your iPhone is paired to an Apple Watch here's now a button on the Edit List scene that allows you to decide if you want to send that checklist to the Apple Watch. With this feature you don't have to clutter your watch with checklists you rarely use.

* Apple Watch Synchronization.
The Apple Watch synchronization with the iPhone performs more reliably now and there's a new scene to let you know when the iPhone is updating the watch data. Built to support the latest iOS devices.
Timing has been improved. When you have selected to hide checked items and an item, it is immediately removed from the display. Previously, there was a two second delay allowing you to undo an inadvertent tap. With the undo feature introduced in version 1.4, this delay is no longer needed and removing it improves the usability of the app.

* Toolbar

When you tap on a list to check off items, there's now a toolbar at the bottom of the scene. The toolbar contains four buttons. The sync button lets you synchronize your lists with those backed up on our cloud server. Clear checkmarks clears all the checkmarks off your list so you can reuse the list. The show/hide button toggles between displaying your checkmarked items and hiding the completed items. Lastly there is an Undo button.

* Undo.

Pilot cList now keeps a history of your checkmarks, swipes, and clears. If you inadvertently checkmark an item or grouped set of items or cleared all your checkmarks, tapping the Undo button will reverse the action. You can repeatedly tap Undo to erase each change made.

* Watch Improvements.

The watch workflow has been improved. Previously, there was a short built-in delay after you checkmark an item to allow you to undo the action before the item disappeared from the screen. Now, with the new Undo feature, the delay has been removed and if you make a mistake you can swipe the screen to the left to undo the change.
Previously, the swipe left gesture would bring up a menu scene with buttons that allowed you to hide/show checkmarked items, cross out an item instead of checkmarking it, or clear all the checkmarks from a list. These functions are now available as buttons at the bottom of the list or as a menu revealed when you hard press the watch screen for a couple of seconds. The action of crossing out an item instead of checkmarking it has been streamlined. If you swipe the screen to the right then tap an item, the item will get crossed out.

Apple Watch Support.

When you install Pilot cList on your Apple Watch, your phone synchronizes your checklists with your watch making performing those repetitive task even easier. You can leave your phone in your pocket and breeze through your task list checking off items as you complete them. Pilot cList hides checked items so at a glance you can see what's the next task to complete.

Task List Counts.
The main lists scene shows a checkmark with the number of items completed and total items on the task list. This change lets you see what lists have unfinished tasks.

There's a completely new synchronization engine in this version. The new engine addresses issues that occurred when the same list was modified at the same time from different devices.
You can now set the font size for your lists. This makes it much easier to read lists when you are trying to check off completed items. Along with this change, a sample view was added to the task editing screen making it easier to tweak the look of list items.
The entire app was rebuilt using Apple's latest Swift 3.0 compiler.
