How We Do It
We make awesome travel guides using smart algorithms. To do this, we crawl data from open content sources like World66, Wikivoyage, Wikipedia, Open Street Maps, TouristEye and Flickr. Once we have all the data, it’s time to parse. From each source, we extract all the information we can. Afterwards, we start identifying patterns and matching to come up with one complete record for each location. Now it’s time to determine what is most relevant to travelers. We use traveler’s photos and keyword density to analyze our content. Once we’ve got the most important data, we create the most comprehensive mobile travel guides.

How We Do It

The new version of Triposo also comes with a Watch App. It’s a perfect combination with another new and exciting feature: Track. Select a city walk or a mini guide, and tap on Track. Now you are ready to explore the city and just wander around, and get a notification when you are near a place you’d love to visit. Our brand new Watch App is the perfect way to experience this new feature - but you can also enjoy it on your iPhone or iPad.
Finally, we’ve added a complete new Inspiration section for every destination. It contains the best articles to get to know a city that we can find on the web. Now, you can read the Wikivoyage article to get inspired while you are on the plane or read up on architecture, local cuisine or customs.

This is our latest release, Salo, and we are proud to introduce these cool new features:
- We added a great new way to add smart links to the starting screen of the guide. Do you love coffee? Create a filter that brings up nearby coffee places and pin it to your starting screen. Are you vegetarian? Create a filter that shows vegan, vegetarian and Indian restaurants in one list and save it. In any city you open, you will see your own smart links and they will let you discover the places you love easily. We call it “Activity Overdrive” and we believe it will make your next trip better so try it out!
- We created a really cool Day Trip section that shows all the daytrip options and shows you different options on how to make the trip. We combine information about public transport and driving yourself with options to book a tour and have everything taken care of.
- We worked hard on making the details screen for sights, restaurants and bars better. We added an image gallery, a mini map and for major sights we’ll give you an overview of how to best get tickets. We’ll also show you if entrance is included in a city card or in combination tickets such as hop-on-hop-off tours.
