About PocketBraille Reference

PocketBraille Reference 2.0 is here with new contractions and a new look!

PocketBraille Reference now supports one symbol word contractions and one-letter word contractions. We will have more contractions soon to help users learn grade 2 Braille. Keep checking back for more details and future updates We will also be including Computer Braille and Nemeth Braille at a later point in time.

DESCRIPTION

Braille is the way people who are blind and visually impaired read and write. PocketBraille Reference is an application for the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad that allows anyone to learn Braille.

FEATURES

PocketBraille Reference allows its user to look at several different Braille tables. These tables include the alphabet, numbers, and punctuation. These tables also make up the Literary Braille section of the application. Additional Braille codes will be added soon, available as updates rom the App Store. These will include Nemeth Math, Computer Braille, Grade 2 Braille, and even Braille Music. PocketBraille Reference also gives users a summary of the history of the Braille code. PocketBraille Reference also is compatible with all VoiceOver compatibile refreshable Braille displays for visual and tactile training. Make sure your Braille display is paired and that VoiceOver is on to use this feature.
