Hello folks!
The new, shiny macOS Ventura is here so we can finally drop our fall collection. So grab a PSL (Pompom spiced latte) and snuggle as we take you through the freshes looks this autumn.
(But before we do: make sure you’re up to date with both your OS and version of Pompom to take advantage of these new tools.)
• Record remote guests
You can now record System Audio as well as a microphone in Pompom. So if you’re speaking with a guest over Zoom, you can record both ends of the conversation.
• Upgraded transcriptions
Punctuation will be automatically added to your transcript now. We've also added a new premium transcription service that gives you even more accuracy.
• Tips of the day
There’s a lot of hidden power in Pompom. To help you unlock that power, we’ve added a series of tips of the day to show and explain features, tools and tricks. You can explore every tip and deactivate them in settings if you don’t want the prompts.
Let us know if you discover a power of pompom you didn’t know.
• Record & enhance audio from the menu bar
Sometimes you need to start a recording FAST. That’s where the menu bar app comes in. Just click the icon in your mac’s menu bar, select your mics (or system audio) and away you go! Plus, if you want to enhance your audio with Sound+, you can just drag and drop a file into the menu bar and let Pompom do the rest.
• Bug Fixes
Did you find a bug in the previous version? If so, it’s probably fixed :) If you found something and it hasn’t been fixed, send us a message (you can do that in the app) and we’ll get to it right away.
• UI Updates
We've made tons of small UI updates throughout the app.
Is that it? Yes - for now. We've prepared a few more fantastic updates by the end of the year so stay tuned!

Oh boy, it took us a while! We were busy preparing some big updates to Pompom. Today we release the first batch of what we've been working on!
• Dark Mode - for all of you who are working in the evenings, Pompom will now give your eyes a chance to rest.
• Rich transcript editing - there’s now more options to format your transcript. You can make text bold, italic, strikethrough, and even highlighted.
• Freestyle transcript text. You can now add text to your transcript freely, and it does not have to be connected to any clip. It’s great way for adding comments or chapter titles.
• Fixed bugs:
- Fixed “clips snapping” issue when clips had different sample rate (say “thanks” to Max for reporting this!).
- Fixed issue with creating new project on iPad

Hello folks, here's what's new:
• Redesigned audio tracks editor. Tracks now start at the top of the editor and are more separated.
• Track Attributes. You can now adjust volume of the entire track.
• Transcript track. Now you'll see "word cards" at the top of the editor.
• Clips dragging improvements. You'll notice that drag & dropping clips behaves slightly different. We hope you like it!
• Fixed some nasty crashes on macOS Big Sur
