About Power Choke

Comparing Iron, Alloy, Amorphous Powder Core just in few seconds and three steps get the best design in PFC, LLC, LCC. Of course, you can do it yourself, but if your time is more valuable, why not to save this treasure.

The power inductor is made by magnetic powder toroidal core with winding , also call DC-Choke, Power-Choke, sometimes depends on the circuit position is named PFC Choke, Inverter Choke, Buck or Boost Choke.

When the power is transferred more and more, the inductor current will change from discontinuous conduction mode to continuous conduction mode, and then the effect of this DC-Bias Current are going to derating the permeability of any magnetic alloy materials core.

How much of the inductance value is gone by the DC-Bias current ? That is the major problem of every engineers when the power choke is designed. 2. The core materials are grouped in different colors , Blue is for alloy powder core , Black is for iron powder core and Green is for amorphous powder core.

The materials of Korea famous manufacturer "DONGBU Metals" are all supported from this version, because it is suggested by our regular customer in Republic of China. 3. There are 150 alloy materials can choose right now and will be more in the future. Please recommend any manufacturer you use often, we will combine it in our App as soon as possible.
