2.1.0
2014-05-17
It is now possible to define a user profile that can enable/disable mobile app features. This will enable restricted users who, for instance, can only Create their Own content, but not view sources and post other content. Other supported scenarios include:
- A user that can only view sources and recommended content but not post anything
- A user that can only select and post content from sources, but cannot create any content of their own.
The home button is now visible from most screens and will take you directly back to the home screen.
If there is more than one posting profile defined for an account, you will be forced to select a Posting Profile each time you post an item. This reduces the chance of posting an item to the wrong profile.
Source panels that are shared by the Parent account will now appear in the Browse All Content area.
"Post This" Links from Digest emails will automatically open the content within the mobile app.
The handling of video feeds has been improved along with the ability to preview a video before posting.
The status portion of a recommended message selected from the library or an external content source can be edited before sending. A character counter appears below the status field.
2.0.0

Version 2.0 of the Publisher app adds many new capabilities including:
- New home screen - from the home screen you have access to three core areas of the application where you can find recommended content, browse all content sources, or create content of your own.
- Select Recommended Content - This area lets you view and publish content that has been added to your library, or review and approve any content that is pending to be published.
- Browse All Content - This area displays all of the content sources in your account. You can select the source, and then see any of the items that it contains. Click on any particular item to review it and then post it using a posting profile.
- Create Your Own - Use this area (as in earlier versions of the application) to take a photo, or choose an existing photo from your photo library. Enter some text to describe the picture and then click Approve/Post to publish it.
- Post Now or Schedule Automatically - Any item you choose to select or approve can be published immediately or scheduled automatically. When you automatically schedule an item, the system will pick the next best time to publish the item. The timing is determined by the automatic scheduler and will depend on the number of items that are already scheduled.
- Support for multiple posting profiles - Go to the Settings area to select which posting profile to use by default when publishing from the app. You can use the Prompt for Profile setting to force the user to specify which posting profile to use each time an item is published.
