About Quintu

"Four Line" is the old favourite of getting four counters, or marbles, in a row. "Hopper", called Solitaire in the UK, and Patience in other parts of the world, easy to play, a challenge to complete. "Kono-8" is a slightly different version of the Korean Kono game (they use 5 counters). Reversal, otherwise known as Othello, is a game of skill and strategy if you want to win. "Twista", a variant of getting counters in a line, this time five, but with the ability to rotate (ie twist) 2x2 sections of the playing board.

Four Line : 2 players

The goal of this game is to get four of your marbles in a row ... horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. The game will only allow you to drop a marble in a valid column on the board. The marble will be placed on the lowest possible position. There is the possibility of the game being a draw.

Hopper : 1 player

The goal of this game is to remove all the marbles, except one, which must be left in the centre of the board. There is only one type of move : a marble jumps over another, into an empty space. The marble that was jumped over is removed. The game will only allow you to make a valid move. If you can't move a marble, the game will end!

Kono-8 : 2 players

The goal of this game is to stop your opponent from moving their marbles, or place your own in the places where theirs started. The game will only allow you to make a valid move. The game is played on a 6x6 board, and not the usual 5x5. A draw isn't possible, someone must achieve the goal to win!

Reversal : 2 players

The goal of this game is to get the majority of your marbles on the board. The game will only allow you to place a marble in a valid position on the board. Unlike Othello, if a player cannot place a marble, the game will end! There is the possibility of the game being a draw.

Twista : 2 players

The goal of this game is to get five of your marbles in a row ... horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. The player can either place a marble, or twist a section that contains a marble. The game will only allow you to make a valid move. There is the possibility of the game being a draw.
