1) Compass Mode is now available regardless Show User Location setting, it is also quick and convenient way to center map on user's current location. If access to location disabled Compass Mode still won't work.
2) New button above Compass Mode button on map is activating notifications about new aircrafts becoming closest to Reference Location: airport identified by ICAO code such as KJFK for public feeds or airport/user's location for private feeds. Detection algorithm is working on top of filters applied to list of aircrafts. It's helpful for active monitoring of airspace around local area when certain aircraft expected to arrive or depart. Tap on notification banner is selecting aircraft on map right away. If you ignore it then notification will be available on lock screen later on. Range of detection is controlled by new "Notify about aircrafts in range" app setting.
