4.5 2023-09-18
Version 4.5 brings some minor updates:
• iOS 17 compatibility.
• Rebuilt location editors to be more reliable and intuitive.
• Minor polish to layout and aesthetics throughout.
4.4 2023-05-22
Version 4.4 brings repeat reminders, and some smaller tweaks.
• Set a reminder to repeat with a new control on the custom date picker.
• Added a preference for whether the selected list resets to default on launch.
• Updated reminders app shortcut icon.
• Fixed a bug where opening the custom date picker via an already selected date wouldn't select the correct date in the custom view by default.
4.3 2023-04-23
Version 4.3 brings several small tweaks
• Opening the app now resets to the default list, to aid muscle memory, unless a title, note, date, location, or priority has already been set.
• Tapping on selected date now opens the custom date picker.
• Introduced an add/remove time option to custom date picker.
• The custom date picker is now bottom anchored to be within easier reach of your thumb, aiding one handed use.
• Reintroduced option to hide priority button. It’s hidden by default, but you can re-enable in settings.
• Added option to contact via email.

Bug fixes
• Fixed bug with list title shifting slightly when adding a reminder.
• Fixed (I think) an issue where opening the app from the background would format selected dates with the wrong hour until the app was force quit.
• Fix visual padding issue with selected date pill when toggling time controls.
• Hid (successfully, this time) custom icons when run on a Mac, since they don’t work on macOS.
4.2.1 2022-12-26
Version 4.2 brings some iOS 16 updates.
• Added a Lock Screen widget so you can quickly launch the app from your Lock Screen. There are two variants - one with an up arrow, and one with a plus icon - so you can pick that one that makes the most sense for you.
• Also fixed a bug that distorted the drag-release gesture animation on the list switcher.

Version 4.2.1 fixes a bug with changing app icons that was introduced in 4.2.
4.1 2022-05-18
Version 4.1 brings various small improvements.

Time & date controls:
• Added a new button to more easily switch between ‘time & date’ controls or ‘date only’ controls.
• Added a new setting to choose which controls show when the app launches.
• Added one more day in the ‘date only’ controls.
• Updated the design of selected time & date presets to reduce visual noise.

Natural language input:
• Added a new natural language input setting to automatically select tomorrow if the chosen time has passed.
• When natural language input is enabled, the app will now automatically use detected dates by default. This option can still be toggle back off in settings.
• Fixed a bug where the highlighted ‘date’ text would stay highlighted even after clearing the selected date.

Additionally:
• Updated location iconography to be more consistent.
• Updated the order of some options in settings.
4.0.2 2022-04-05
• Fixed a bug where the selected location wouldn't save properly if you were using 'date only' mode.
4.0.1 2022-02-15
Version 4.0.1 brings a handful of tweaks and bug fixes.

• Updated the app name that’s shown on the Home Screen so it no longer feels cramped.
• “Date only” reminders set for today should no longer immediately generate a notification. Let me know if you preferred the previous behaviour here; I may consider introducing this as an option.
• Updated the ‘detected’ dates button to work with 'date only' mode, and it now matches the colour scheme of the 4.0 update.
• Fixed a bug where selecting a ‘detected’ date wouldn’t remove the appropriate text from the reminder title.
• Fixed a bug that cause the app to forget when icons were purchased, meaning you get to keep hitting ‘restore purchases’ to get access to them again. Sorry about that!
• Attempted to fix a crash on launch that can be caused by having no default list set for Reminders. It’s hard to know for sure that’s it’s fixed because I can’t replicate the scenario

Note:
This version does *not* fix the settings screen crash which some of you are experiencing. I've had no luck with this crash yet, but I’m still trying to replicate and fix it.
4.0 2021-12-28
Version 4.0 brings some visual updates, and two big new features.

• New feature - Add due dates, without a time. Tap on a selected date to remove or add the time component. You can also toggle by swiping down on the time & date controls.
• New feature - Location reminders. Predefine common locations in settings, then you can add them to a reminder in a couple of taps. 2 locations are available for free. 3 more are available via an IAP.
• Visual updates - Colour is no longer used everywhere. Instead it now highlights selected attributes of the reminder you're about to add.
• Transition animations are now more fluid and quick.
• Fixed keyboard shortcuts for switching lists and cycling priority by including option as an additional modifier now. Remember, you can hold cmd in the app to check the keyboard shortcuts that are available.
• Fixed a bug where buying an IAP could show the wrong confirmation message.
• Improved tap targets when choosing a list.
3.1.3 2021-04-19
• Fixed a bug that could crash the app when entering relative dates with natural language input.
3.1.1 2020-10-28

• Times and dates in the reminder title will automatically be detected.
• Tap to select detected dates, or have them auto-select to save even more time.

3.0.1 2020-09-21
Version 3.0 brings several changes to the UI, along with a lot of under-the-hood prep for future releases.

• New calendar-style custom date picker.
• A completely re-built list picker, which lets you switch lists in a fraction of the time, all with a slicker animation. In addition to tapping, you can now show the lists and select one with a single drag-and-release motion.
• Added a ‘5 minute’ option to the ‘round when incrementing’ feature.
• Fixed a crash which made the app unusable when you had no reminder lists.
• Fixed a bug where the keyboard theme sometimes wouldn’t match the app theme right away.

2.4.2 2020-06-04
—— What’s new in 2.4.2 ——
• Re-enabled the new App Icon Set purchase UI. Have fun browsing :)

—— What’s new in 2.4 ——
2.4 is a big one!
While I have your attention, however, a quick aside:

First of all, thank you so much to those of you who have left tips. It’s hugely appreciated, financially and emotionally!

There are so many things that I’d still like to build for this app, and my hope was that tips alone would be enough to at least cover the yearly developer fees required to build and maintain this app. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case, and so the app is currently being built at a loss.

So, here’s the new plan:
I will continue building free features (as I always have done), and amongst these will now be some new paid features too. The core of the app will always remain free, and ad-free. Building some new features as in-app purchases, however, allows me to continue development of Remind Me Faster.

With all that said, this release includes several improvements to the app, and a set of alternative app icons as an in-app purchase.

Here’s what’s new:
• Updated (improved, I think!) the light and dark app icons.
• In-app purchase - 32 new alternative App Icons which can be explored & purchased as a set in in settings.
• Priority now has an individual button, so it’s more discoverable and can now be added without a selected time & date. ‘No priority’ shows as a dot.
• The priority button is off by default and can be enabled in settings.
• Added a ‘Tips & Help’ section in settings.
• Improved the layout of the settings screen.
2.3 2020-05-11
• Added a new ‘+ week’ button to the custom date screen, letting you quickly jump ahead a couple of weeks with two taps.
• Added a ‘reset to now’ button on the custom date screen, so you can quickly start again if you change your mind.
• Enabled the preset times feature by default. This can be disabled in settings.
• Preset times now briefly fade to and from their highlighted state, instead of doing so instantly.
• Fixed a bug that prevented 12 hour format from being used in certain regions.
• Fixed a bug that caused low or medium priorities to all appear as high priority once submitted.
2.2 2020-05-01
• Added a new ‘Preset Times’ feature
• Preset Times let you set a reminder to 9am, noon, or 6pm with one tap, regardless of the current time.
• Preset Times are designed to work with the existing +hour buttons. For instance, to set a reminder for tomorrow evening, tap 6pm, then +24h. Additionally you could nudge the time to 7pm or 8pm with the +1h button.
• This feature is currently switched off by default. Just head into the settings screen to enable Preset Times.
• I’m aiming to make these times customisable in the near future.
• Fixed a bug that made text unreadable in dark mode if ‘increase contrast’ was switched on in accessibility settings.
2.1 2020-02-24
• Added a new "Round minutes when incrementing" option in the settings screen. This lets you neaten up your selected times by automatically adjusting the time to the closest 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes when you use the +hour buttons.
• Added a red dot on the settings icon to let you know when there are new features and options available.
• A few other minor UI tweaks.
2.0 2020-02-17
Version 2.0 has been completely rebuilt with SwiftUI!

Here's what's new:
• Support for iOS system dark mode
• Tapping on the list name now brings up a list switcher to make switching lists easier. Long pressing on the list name will return to the default list, as tapping used to before.
• Reminder titles can now be multi-line, so it no longer truncates at the end of the first line.
• A new rounded font so that Remind Me Faster feels more at home with the new Reminders app.
• If you happen to select a date in the past it will now display in grey.

With this new app it'll be quicker to make improvements in the future, so keep an eye out for more updates. As always, any feedback is very much appreciated!
1.6.1 2019-09-18
• This release just includes some visual fixes to ensure iOS 13 compatibility.

Lots planned for the future though!
1.6 2019-02-06
• The chosen reminder date will now additionally show the day of the week.
• Chosen reminder date text is now slightly bolder to increase legibility and help distinguish from ‘no reminder date’.
• Minor styling tweaks on the settings screen.
• CMD + comma now opens settings when using a keyboard with your iPad.
• Sped up ’Tap & hold’ on the +h buttons. Now you can subtract an hour in 0.3 seconds, rather than 0.5 seconds :)

As always, there’s more planned for future updates. Please get in touch on twitter @RemindMeFaster if you have suggestions. Thanks!
1.5 2018-12-04
• Tap and hold on a +h button to subtract hours, instead of adding. Handy for when you overshoot the time/date.

• ‘Quick Tips’ in options screen updated.

• Added easier ways to write a review or contact me from the options screen

• Added a Tip Jar in the options screen. Remind Me Faster will always be available without charge and ad-free. The tip jar should allow someone to help support development of the app if they find it really useful. It’s totally optional, and thank you very much to anyone who considers using it :)

As always, there’s more planned for future updates. Please get in touch on twitter @RemindMeFaster if you have suggestions. Thanks!
1.4 2018-11-01
• Dark and Pure Black themes have been added.
• Dark app icon option has been added.
• Tap the new settings icon in the top right to find both.
• Also fixed a few bugs and crashes along the way.

There’s plenty more planned for future updates. Please get in touch on twitter @RemindMeFaster if you have suggestions :). Thank you all for your feedback so far!
1.3 2017-12-03

• Haptic feedback for switching lists and adding reminders on iPhone 7 or later.
• Simple URL scheme support — RemindMeFaster:// to open the app.
• Fixed height of the controls above the keyboard on iPhone X.

Please get in touch on twitter @RemindMeFaster if you have suggestions :)
1.2 2017-09-26
• iPad support! Remind Me has been fully rebuilt to support iPad fullscreen, split view, or slide-over.

• Updated name: ‘Remind Me’ is now ‘Remind Me Faster’ to better suit the new App Store naming rules. The name on your home screen won’t change though.

• A slightly lighter & brighter icon that looks more at home on the new iPad dock.

• Subtle interface tweaks, like increasing legibility of list titles and buttons with increased font weight and letterpress effects.

• The custom date picker now opens on the currently selected date & time.
