The simple user interface and intuitive graphical display makes for an ideal tool to be used during preflight or in-flight by pilots of all experience levels.

During computation the Runway Wind Calculator establishes if the current parameters are within your personal or aircraft specific limitations.

The app allows input of your personal caution and warning levels as well as aircraft limitation. The exceedance of any parameters is intuitively displayed, as the affected wind component will turn orange (caution) or red (warning) for personal or aircraft limitation, immediately alerting the pilot of the potential hazard.

This application can be used by CFIs as well to help teach students about wind components.

The use of personalized limits can help assist the students in good decision making and bring some comfort to CFIs sending students on solo flights.
