Scriptures For Anxiety and Depression - Pro - A tool to help you relieve anxiety & depression by meditating and applying specific Bible verses.
The purpose of this app is to help you find comfort by memorizing some comforting scriptures that can help you see how much God loves and cares about you as an individual. By meditating on these Bible verses, you will be comforted during times of distress. It also help you to memorize the Bible verses. It comes in 3 languages: English, Spanish and French.
There are approximately 230 verses that can help us to cope with anxiety and depression. Some scriptures will give advice on how you can have a positive attitude and others will show you how much God cares about each individual and meditating on certain verses can help us overcome negative emotions.
SERVANTS OF GOD WHO EXPERIENCED DEPRESSION
Anxiety and depression are not new. The Bible tells of many past servants of God who experienced negative emotions such as anxiety and depression. For example, look at what the Bible says about the following well know Bible figures:
David
Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.
Hannah
1 Samuel 1:10 In her deep anguish Hannah prayed to the LORD, weeping bitterly.

1 Kings 19:4 while he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness. He came to a broom bush, sat down under it and prayed that he might die. “I have had enough, LORD,” he said. “Take my life; I am no better than my ancestors.”

The Bible not only shows that God’s servants in the past were depressed, but it also provides good advice on how we can ponder over certain scriptures and experience a calmness of heart and be free of anxiety. Consider how dwelling on the following scriptures can help a depressed person:
Psalm 34:18
The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Philippians 4:6,7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
It is my hope that these verses will bring you as much comfort and peace of heart during life's distressing moments as they have done for me.
