SeatCompanion has been designed to work in airplane mode, which means whilst you are in flight, it will show you your position and allow you to learn about various points of interest along your route.
In addition, the maps are pre-downloaded onto your device, so you can zoom in and out and see more details on what you've homed on from your window.

Subscription Information:

SeatCompanion requires a subscription, paid from your App Store Account. SeatCompanion offers a monthly or an annual subscription.
Once subscribed, the SeatCompanion subscription will automatically renew and charge your account $1.99 each month, or $9.99 each year. You can cancel your subscription at any time by going to your iTunes Account Settings at least 24 hours before the end of the period.
