Shabbat Alert - alarm clock 4 jewish calendar date Description
/!\ Don't download or use on Shabbat /!\

Waking up on Shabbos and Yom Tov has never been that easy!!

With Shabbat Alert you can set up alarms that will ring only once (no snooze, no turning off needed).
It's loud enough to wake you up but quiet enough to keep the household asleep.

Familiar with those situations when your alarm clock rings all day and spoils your rest on the holiest day of the week?

Tired of saying 'NO' to a second helping of your Mom's delicious chulent because the following nap would extend way past minha?

These situations are now HISTORY!!

Shabbat Alert will become your best friend on Shabbos and Jewish holidays!
Just set your alarms right before Shabbat enters, leave your phone switched on and out of reach, and enjoy a peaceful rest until your phone reminds you to get up for Shul!

This update improves compatibility with iOS 10 and should resolve most issues encountered recently.
If you have issues, no need to give a bad review, just drop us a line on facebook and we'll look into it.

Note that apple constantly releases iOS updates and new hardware and I would need to quit my day job and focus 100% of my time testing and improving the app ahead of new releases, but then I wouldn't make a living anymore and I would have to tell my kids that I can't afford hannukah presents because Shabbat Alert received bad reviews on the app store.
So if you love kids, only 5 stars reviews please.

You can contact me on facebook and I'll be glad to answer your concerns:

@KosherKid (app showing the wrong day): that has been unheard of before on several thousand downloads. As this is the only complaint of this kind I have to assume you either have a very specific iphone setup (timezone, internationalization etc), or didn't select the correct day.
If you can reproduce the issue, please contact me I'll be happy to fix it.

@Allon F (extra melacha in a pikuach nefesh situation): apologies, I never thought of that use case. Go to iPhone Settings > Notification Center > ShabbatAlert then select Banners (no action will be required). Also close the app before Shabbat. You'll still get alarms, but won't have the extra popup. Re. alarm length, you can play an alarm multiple times, so hopefully that should make up for it.

I probably won't make another update before the high Holidays, so Hag Sameah everyone!
