About Share The Flame
SHARE THE FLAME application is intuitive and extremely simple, and contains NearBytes, the most innovative data transmission technology that uses sound.
The goal is to share a gesture representing faith and love, spreading a FLAME - that symbolizes unity and faith the world over through proximity.
SHARING THE FLAME through proximity with your mobile device will help to enhance the fellowship, the company and sharing.
The application embraces the WYD - World Youth Day of 2013.
SHARE YOUR FLAME!
Once the first flame is officially lit, it can be sent to the device of someone who`s near by, and running the application. THE FLAME can be shared as many times as you like, with different people.
It`s very simple:
1) Enter you name/nickname or login using Facebook
2) To receive the FLAME: all you need to do is approach your device (with the running application) to another (running the same application) that has a lit FLAME. The bearer of the lit FLAME touches the screen of his device to transmit the FLAME using sound.
3) SHARE THE FLAME: while running the application, approach your device to other devices and touch the screen to transmit the FLAME using sound. The other devices have to be running the application as well.
Remember to wait for the end of the sound signal, that indicates that the FLAME has been transmitted.
The smartphone/device doesn't have to be online to enable the exchange of FLAMES. Each time you receive a FLAME, your FLAME will become stronger.
You can also see who shared the FLAME with you, and even get in touch using Facebook if you like.
After the event is over, you can keep SHARE THE FLAME alight and take it back to your hometown, and carry on spreading energy and faith.
A map on the applications website will show the places where the FLAME has spread and it`s intensity.
