The user runs SHIP2 through a mobile device, creates a UserID and password, provides contact information and profile details, and enters a payment method. After logging on using their UserID, the user can select either Customer or Transport Service Provider (TSP), and gains access to either a Customer or TSP screen.
From the Customer screen, the user can set up a new shipping job, view current shipping jobs he/she has entered, or contact available TSP’s by linking to a peripheral messaging system (call or text). The Customer can be anyone interested in shipping freight with SHIP2. The Customer enters the job, including Ship From and Ship To addresses, details about the freight, and selects a vehicle type.
From the Transport Service Provider (TSP) screen, a user can browse available Customer jobs, offer to accept these jobs (competitive), and post updates to accepted jobs. A TSP can be anyone interested in earning money by providing shipment of the Customer’s freight. The TSP provides the shipping service, as agreed with the Customer, and receives payment for the job.
The Customer can view a TSP’s details, including vehicles, location, and rating. The Customer then selects a TSP to provide shipping services at the charged amount and timeframe. The Customer is in complete control of the job. Once the job is complete, the Customer acknowledges receipt of the items and gives the TSP a rating based on performance. The TSP receives immediate payment once the job is done.
