Simple Divide Description
Simple Divide is an App that allows two divorcing individuals to divide their belongings through a two-person bidding process. Each person registers, individually. You will have 90 days to complete the full process. You both can add items, for 60 days, using the phone’s camera. Once you add items, you will bid on how much are willing to pay for each item. If the other user bids higher than you are willing to pay, you will simply accept the other person’s bid. You also have the ability to: 1) Create a list of “Separate Items” (items that were owned prior to marriage or obtained by gift or inheritance); 2) Remove “Disputed Items” (items that can’t be agreed upon between the parties; 3) Generate a report (via email/PDF) of which items were “won” by each person, anytime during the bidding process. A final report (email/PDF) will be generated at the end of the 90 days. This is not a legally binding process. However, at the end of the auction you will receive a PDF report of the auction results and a stipulation template to assist you in making the auction results (and ultimately the agreement between you and your ex) legally binding. We recommend that you consult with an attorney licensed to practice law in your area to advise on the best way to make the auction results a legally binding order.
