About Skuga

Skuga is a cycling-app designed to re-ride your own Strava-rides on a Tacx, Wahoo Fitness or any FTMS smart trainer. So you are your own opponent. A Skuga-ride is uploaded (of course) to Strava and you can use that ride the next time to race against your improved self. Where or whenever you did a ride: re-ride it with Skuga.

Note: Skuga is free to all Strava Premium members and will create a free Kinomap account for you.

Skuga simply delivers the best cycling experience ever for those who own a smart trainer from:
- Tacx, all interactive Bluetooth Smart trainers (Neo, Vortex, Bushido, Flow, Flux, Genius, ...)
- Wahoo Fitness (KICKR, KICKR Snap, KICKR Core, with or without the CLIMB and Headwind)
- Elite interactive trainers with FTMS support (all models sold after Aug 2017: Direto, Drivo, Rampa, ...)
- Kinetic interactive trainers with FTMS support (models sold after Sept 2018)
- Stac Zero Halcyon
- Wattbike ATOM
- Concept 2 BikeErg
- and many other interactive trainers supporting Bluetooth FTMS!

Automatic braking, e-bike, the smoothest riding-engine ever created for an indoor trainer, Skuga has it all. Made by a cyclist, made for cyclists.

Skuga introduces true novelties. Skuga is the first indoor-trainer software ever that has e-brakes. It knows, using complex mathematics, when to brake and how hard to brake. Plus: it is also the first software ever that contains a digital e-bike! And... with Skuga you can improve your PR's indoors because it supports Strava Segments in a beautiful way. You could, if you really try hard, even ride a KOM.

You also need a Strava account. Plus: you make Skuga more interesting by having an Instagram account too (if you have: chances are you will experience the essence of life while cycling). With an Instagram account you can fully enjoy the fantastic InstaWall that is a part of Skuga.

This app offers the most realistic road and off-road experience ever. Mountainbikers, climbers, rough-terrain riders: you all will be surprised! Ride in cities (without having to breath car-exhaust) and you will be stunned by the precision. Whatever ride you pick: Skuga will quickly become your favorite app.

Skuga has a special setting for when you are injured, making it possible for you to ride your own rides without putting much strain on your knees, on whatever terrain. This is a perfect training to help to get you back on the (real) road. Rides like these are uploaded to Strava too, as indoor training. If you cannot make it on that last stretch of a tough climb the digital e-bike can do that for you. The e-bike is intended to save your knees, a perfect tool for when you are injured.

The bluetooth connection puts a little extra load on the battery of your device. So make sure it is fully charged before stepping on your bike. When you put Skuga to the background it keeps running while you ride. So check your battery status now and then. Displays are all in kilometers or miles, depending on the settings of your device.

There is a lot to see in the app. Instagram-photo's and video's, taken at the location where you ride. If you like them: double-tap them. But there are interesting statistics too.

Enough!

Download. Ride. And fall in love with it.

PS: Remember the segments? That appear during your ride? You won't find a greater motivator. Anywhere.
