Smart PassportReader is an application programming interface (API) designed for Russian Federation and international citizen passport video stream recognition using a mobile device camera or just a simple web camera.
Smart PassportReader allows you to enchance your mobile application with Russian Federation and international citizen passport recognition functionality while preserving quality and performance of full-fledged personal computers and specialized scanners. Smart PassportReader provides your mobile app or website with secure, simple and fast personal data input.
As opposed to other applications, Smart PassportReader doesn't require an Internet connection which makes scanning of the passport data secure.
Smart PassportReader employs advanced recognition technologies developed by our company along with deep optimizations for ARM architecture. It is capable of document identification, text fields localization and data recognition. Modern video stream and photo recognition technologies based on syntactic and geometric interframe data integration provide an ability to reach high quality results after just 5 frames or less. Full Russian Federation and international citizen passport video stream recognition cycle starting from "presenting" a passport to the camera and ending with displaying the results take 2-3 seconds on average.
