- SnipNotes will periodically create an archive file with all your notes and save it to your iCloud Drive. This is a safety feature in case notes get lost or are accidentally deleted. You can configure or turn off the automatic export in settings. By default, images are not included in the archive to save space.
- You can import an archive file from the "Export & Import" section of the settings menu. SnipNotes will save the contents of the archive into a separate category. Your existing notes remain unchanged.
When you delete a category, you can choose whether all notes in that category should also be deleted.

- You can now create multiple levels of categories to organize your notes hierarchically. Long-press (or right-click) on a category and select “Move…” to assign it to another category. On iOS, you can also drag a category to the bottom of your screen to move it. You can unlock nested categories by making a one-time purchase within the app. If you have purchased SnipNotes Plus after January 1st, 2023, you will automatically get access to nested categories.
- The category list has a new look and a few new features. For example, you can collapse the trash or your own categories to save space. Protected categories will show a little lock icon.
- You can now choose from a huge selection of modern icons when creating new categories. There is also a search field which helps you find the right icon for your category. The same selection of icons is available for your notes as well.
- SnipNotes on Apple Watch will now synchronize directly with iCloud, which should improve reliability.
- On Mac, you can now integrate SnipNotes into your shortcuts. Create notes and categories, append text to notes, open notes, and much more.

Good day, fellow SnipNotes users! This update adds a whole bunch of new features:
• The swipe gestures have been totally overhauled. You can now swipe both left and right on a note to access various actions. You can customize the swipe buttons in the settings menu
• You can now change the icon of your notes! Over 50 new icons have been added, which you can use both for your notes and your categories
• There is a new archive for your completed notes. Notes in the archive disappear from your main list but are still synchronized with iCloud
• You gain more control over the order of your notes. While there is no manual sorting yet, you can now change the creation date and modification date of a note. In addition, notes will only get marked as modified when you change their contents or the title
• Various note actions like delete, move, merge and archive will now display a status bar at the bottom of the screen, which you can use to undo the action
• Last but not least, there is now a tip jar in the settings menu. If you enjoy the app and want to support the future development of SnipNotes, I would appreciate a small tip. Thank you!
But that's not all. There are a couple of improvements to existing features as well:

This update adds support for Siri Shortcuts in iOS 12:
• You can quickly open notes and categories with a custom Siri phrase
• Siri can read notes to you and show images without having to open the app
• You can save your current location and the contents of your clipboard with Siri
Siri will also suggest shortcuts for actions that you perform frequently.
The buttons for creating and working with notes have been revised:
• All options for creating new notes have been condensed into a single menu. From here you can i.a. save images, dictate notes and also create new Siri Shortcuts for categories
• The favorite button at the bottom of note has been replaced with a new shortcut menu. This menu allows you to create Siri Shortcuts for notes and generate links, which can be pasted into other apps
• The share button now gives you the choice to export your notes as formatted text, plain text or markdown
• The edit and category buttons at the top right of a note have been merged into a single button, which also allows you to disable formatting and content detection for a note. You can of course still tap into the text of a note to quickly start editing
The collection of anonymous usage statistics and crash reports can now be disabled in the privacy section of the settings menu. I've updated the privacy policy to reflect this change.

I've updated the privacy policy to better explain what kinds of (anonymous) data SnipNotes collects and why. You can now export an archive file with all your notes or delete your iCloud data in one go. This should be useful if you plan to stop using SnipNotes permanently. You can find the new privacy policy and both new functionalities in the settings menu (go to "About" => "Privacy").
There are also a few new smaller features (and a lot of bugfixes) in this update:
• You can now save multiple images from other apps with the share sheet
• Internet links can be opened with the Brave Browser
