A new way to learn about convos + gatherings near you!
Now you can see exactly what Worlds are near you in-app. Scroll through the explore page to browse World prompts and their locations.
See a world near you? Be sure to check the “IRL” tab on your Explore page to see if any gatherings are happening in your area.
WANT TO PLAN A GATHERING IN YOUR CITY?
Head to your settings and tap “Create Gatherings” to schedule an in-person gathering in five minutes or less.
WHAT ARE GATHERINGS?
Gatherings are lowkey, low-stakes get togethers. It could look like getting folks together to color, read, chat, meditate, etc. Cute, simple ways to hang with homies you haven’t met yet.
Anyone can make a gathering in-app.

Somewhere Good has welcomed TEN new user-created worlds onto the app! Explore the depths of cyberspace, tap into the realm of collective rest, imagine future visions and more with our new collection of worlds.
With more worlds, you can tap into more conversations. Find a world you love or discover new interests you didn’t even know you had!
HELLO SWIPE, GOODBYE SCROLL
We’ve made exploring worlds and prompts more playful, fun and interactive!
Open your Somewhere Good app each morning and swipe through prompts for the day before clicking into a world! Enjoy a highly visual experience, animated with GIFS and gradients to spark joy and inspiration.
OPEN & CLOSED WORLDS
We shouldn’t feel like we have to be online all the time. You’ll notice that worlds might be “away” and not opened for conversation.
In the app, you can now toggle between viewing only Open Worlds with live prompts to respond to, or All Worlds, where you can also view worlds that are away for the day.
UPDATED ACCESS IN SETTINGS
Want to reserve your OWN world on Somewhere Good? Pop into your settings to start the process.
Looking to see if any IRL gatherings are happening near you? In addition to viewing your Access Card, you can also view if any gatherings are popping up at a Somewhere Good community space.

NEW: Somewhere Good Access Card
- You now have a personal access card that will allow you into Somewhere Good community spaces around the world! Find your access card in settings and add to you Apple wallet for easy access.
- The first Somewhere Good community space is located in Brooklyn, NY and will be available for use Fridays-Sundays starting July 1, 2022. You will need to show your access card for free entry to the space.
UPDATED: Pronoun Fixes
- We’ve fixed a some bugs in the “Add Your Pronouns” section making for a smoother, faster process.
UPDATED: Animation Fixes
- We’ve updated the video animations on our onboarding and world screens to fix delays and errors, creating a smoother navigation experience with no crashes.

We’re always working to make your experience on Somewhere Good more curious, communal, playful and safe. Here’s what to expect in this release:
Play All Replies
- You can now Play All replies to a voice note without having to manually click each reply! Enjoy a more continuous and uninterrupted listening experience.
- We’ve also added enhanced animation and navigation when listening to replies.
Attached Media
- You can now see if a reply has media attached without directly clicking on the voice note!
Easier Transcription Editing
- When reviewing your transcript before posting, you can now play and pause your voice note for easier, faster editing.
Making Space on the Path
- Because there are only 23 spots on each Path, we’ve limited a user’s ability to only leave one voice note on a Path, per world. You can always leave a reply within your voice note, or reply to others to keep the conversation going.
