Smart Strobe & New Effects
A much more musical SonicHue Sync — the lights now follow the song's
structure instead of just reacting to noise. This release teaches the
engine to understand build-ups, drops, and quiet sections like a DJ does.
Smart Strobe — Now It Listens
• Strobe behavior is independent of volume — phone speaker, club PA,
soft or loud, same consistency.
• Auto-fires during build-ups, ends the instant the kick lands.
• 10 distinct strobe patterns: Chase, Reverse, Ping-Pong, Flash, Pairs,
Sparkle, Center Out, Edges In, Staccato, Heartbeat. Each burst picks
a different one with anti-repeat memory.
• New Strobe Threshold slider — slide left for ambient (no bursts),
right for club-mode aggressive triggering.
• New Strobe Frequency slider — flash speed from gentle 150 ms to
club-tight 40 ms.
More Musical Section Transitions
• Calm → Build → Peak → Drop → Breakdown shifts now snap to the beat
grid — effect changes land cleanly on downbeats.
• Each section has its own brightness arc: builds ramp up, peaks
shimmer, breakdowns fade gently — not just on/off.
• Returning to the same section type now cycles through allowed
effects instead of repeating a random pick.
New Effects
• Groove group — 6 medium-energy rhythmic presets: Heartbeat, Bouncing
Ball, Pendulum, Two-Step, Skip, Trail. All keep an ambient floor so
the room never goes dark.
• Fireworks rework — every beat now reliably produces a visible pop.
• Special Random can now rotate your saved custom synth patches.
Smoother Color Rendering
• Palette transitions cross-fade instead of hard-cutting.
• Choose 1 / 2 / 4 beat transition window in Color Presets.
UX Polish
• Latency slider marks the 110 ms default, snaps with haptic feedback,
double-tap the clock icon to reset.
• New sequence steps default to 4 beats (was 1) so they feel musical
out of the box.

Smarter Beat Detection Completely rebuilt BPM engine. The new spectral-flux + autocorrelation pipeline accurately detects tempo across all genres — not just bass-heavy tracks. Slow songs, acoustic music, and non-percussive content are now tracked reliably without double-time errors.
Dynamic Energy Engine (Pro) SonicHue now reads the energy arc of your music in real time. It detects calm, building, peak, and breakdown sections automatically and switches effects to match the mood — including dramatic strobe bursts on drops and build-ups.
Compact Speaker Mode Listening through your phone, laptop, or Bluetooth speaker? Enable Compact Speaker mode for optimized kick detection tuned for smaller drivers with limited bass range.
Gamepad Controller Support Connect your Xbox, PlayStation, or MFi controller and use it as a live performance pad. Trigger light effects with face buttons, shoulders, and D-pad — just like a MIDI controller, but wireless. Supports automatic controller detection and controller-aware button labels.
Remembers Your Setup Your light arrangement and last-used entertainment area are now saved automatically. Reopen the app and everything is exactly where you left it — no need to rearrange lights every session.

Advanced Color Distribution Modes We've added three entirely new ways to visualize your color palettes! When customizing colors, you can now toggle between: • Fixed: Assign flat, permanent colors to individual lights. • Pattern (Sequential): Cycle through colors one beat at a time. • Flow (Simultaneous): Animate your entire color palette rotating across the room for an immersive, dynamic experience.
Individual Light Brightness Controls Want the desk lamp to be a bit dimmer than the ceiling lights? Now you can! Simply swipe left or right directly on any light in the "Connected Lights" section to adjust its individual relative brightness multiplier. It perfectly scales down that single light without breaking the overall sync effect!
Battery & Performance Optimization We've completely re-engineered our Live Activity and Dynamic Island widgets. We've removed continuously re-rendering animations and replaced them with a lightweight, clean design—drastically eliminating background battery drain while preserving quick access to your controls.
