SpringNotes Description
Write styled Markdown notes , sync across iPad, iPhone and Mac add to-dos and tags, export to a variety of formats and choose your favourite style from a variety of colourful themes.

SpringNotes is an app that provides a new approach to Note taking by combining Tasks and Outlines, along with a first class, free form, writing experience.

SpringNotes supports the Zettelkasten method of note taking with comprehensive support for backlinks which allow you to mention another note from within a note thus creating an interconnected web of notes that are easy to discover and navigate between.

With SpringNotes you can write beautifully styled notes with tasks right where they should be within the context of the note and then action them to ensure you stay on track.

It’s also a Foldable Outliner that allows you to structure long documents and quickly find and reveal folded details.
You can rearrange your notes (with tasks) just by dragging them around and with folded outlines this takes productivity to a whole new level.
You can organise your notes into folders and sub-folders or rely on tags and smart-find features such as seeing notes that have incomplete tasks at a glance with the SpringNotes Task Circle.

**Private Sync**
SpringNotes uses iCloud to sync your notes across iPad, iPhone and Mac so they remain private and secure.
You are also able to export and share your notes in a variety of formats including plain text and JSON

** Support**
Please visit springnotes.app for detailed information. You can also reach us at support@springnotes.app for support.

1.7.2 2022-02-27
Version 1.7.2
Disables pruning of history. Please see important note on SpringNotes website for more detail if you need help for version 1.7.1 7, 1.7.0

Version 1.7.1
Fix for iOS devices without attached keyboard when entering a backlink.

### Version 1.7.0

## Major Update
** This update brings many changes and improvements to SpringNotes that have taken us a while to release.

Improvements & New Features

** Backlinks are here - finally!

** Backlinks let you mention another note from the one you are currently editing - thereby creating an interlinked web of notes. As you type, you are assisted by a helper to match existing notes or you can create a mention to a new note that will be created for you when selected. When mentioned from another note, a note displays a collapsable list of all mentions at the top for easy navigation directly back to the paragraph that contains the mention. Once you see how powerful and useful this is you will be amazed! Please see the documentation on the website for full information on how to use this feature which we are pleased to offer.

* Note Previews - If you have a Mac or an iPad with a hardware keyboard and trackpad or mouse you can hover over a backlink in a note and you will see a preview of the mentioned note. If you the select this backlink you will be taken to the note.

* Added backward and forward note history navigation to quickly move between visited notes and if you have a keyboard you can move between visited notes with a key shortcut

* The app will now keep just the last 12 note versions in its Version History backup to save space

* Numerous additional performance, interface improvements and bug fixes.

* Fixed a bug where a note that was in the background did not always refresh if you had edited it and saved on another device.

Thank you to those who have provided feedback, it really helps. We are working to ensure SpringNotes performs well for you. If you do encounter a bug please let us know as we don't want to leave any lurking around!

As this is a Major release please see the updated help for backlinks and Navigation at https://springnotes.app/help
